You made perfect sense. I think sixpac sometimes struggles to understand what people are trying to say.

I think lenticular print belongs on freebies from cereal packets and not on fine art prints. It's a crude method of print and would drive me mental walking past it every day. Good to see Elms doors open again though.

The D*Face, Chris Levine, (as mentioned above) and various Opie's were particularly impressive. This one of a series of 3 different lenticulars from Ben Oakley worked well due to the amount of frames used to produce a seamless transition: When the number of frames are cut down it jumps too much for my liking. The Neate's were bordering inbetween for me.

New Adam Neate Editions, by Dice on Aug 13, 2013 16:00:07 GMT 1, The smoother the better definitely. I found the neates ESP the one last year to flicker so much when you move past it would really do my head in. Also struggling to see the artistic side of these. The opie's are great as they are built to purpose whereas these are basically 3d photos of existing pieces.

New Adam Neate Editions, by The Origin on Aug 13, 2013 23:32:05 GMT 1, Great exhibition made all the better by having Paul explain his thoughts on each piece to me in depth.
First time seeing Neates dimensional editions in the flesh and I left Elms very impressed.
Picks of the bunch for me were the 'red portrait' and 'kneeling and screaming' which stood out and looked really bold.
Liked the lenticulars too but not sure how I would feel walking past one in my home everyday...
Great space and a great show!

New Adam Neate Editions, by Deleted on Aug 14, 2013 13:16:39 GMT 1, With regards to the 3D debate, I'm no expert, but I understand that lenticular technology has moved on quite a bit in the past couple of years. Elms use the SoliDDD process which I think is only a year or two old. They certainly look a hell of a lot better than the old 3D ruler I had as a child!
Someone asked for a picture of the posters. I cribbed this one directly from the Elms site - I hope they don't mind.

New Adam Neate Editions, by Deleted on Aug 14, 2013 13:28:31 GMT 1, Amazingly, I managed to take a few photos without cutting heads off, here you go...
A close up of the new poster, which (as usual) is beautifully done...
I just love this piece, if I had the cash, I'd snap it up to go with the other two pieces I picked up...
The more I look at this one, the more emotion and movement I see in the head / face. It's really growing on me...
Finally, the two pieces I did fall for...
The Orange and Blue Lenticular...
... and the hologram, which needs to be seen to be appreciated...
As others have said, I would recommend getting down to see the show. I think it's really special.
Regards,
Adam.

New Adam Neate Editions, by craigf on Aug 15, 2013 22:09:31 GMT 1, I popped in today and Paul spent a good 30 minutes explaining the works 1:1 with me. What did I think of the show.... a really solid and varied set of works.
I'm not sure what my favourite piece is, the orange and blue lenticular along with the red one next to it are really well produced and the images are very clean. I am less convinced of the other lenticular with Adam's head moving around. The cycling and running pieces are well executed, but I think I would need to compete in one of these sports to have a close enough affinity to the image. The top two pictures in AdamK's post are large and draw your eye, I think I would probably go for the first one, however the second is definitely a grower. The wine piece was "ok" as was the other cheaper piece that was available
If you are in London its definitely worth a visit. Whatever is said about the secondary value of Adam's work I don't believe there is anyone else pushing the boundaries as much as he is

New Adam Neate Editions, by johnnyh on Aug 28, 2013 7:35:17 GMT 1, Visited the show yesterday and was really impressed with the work/pieces. The lenticulars particularly are absolutely stunning pieces. Great images loads of depth and beautifully produced. The kneeling and screaming piece was also stunning and would look great on any wall for a long long time it is really a cracking piece. Pics really do not do it justice. They were my two pics of the show that I would buy. But while there and talking to Paul the the portrait piece just interrupted my thoughts and just kept interrupting and really grew on me and when I left it was my top piece of the show.
But it is all cracking work. If you have not been yet think this is the last week so would def spend the tim to do so. Paul is Los great at explaining the work and Adams thoughts/concepts etc behind each piece style.
The other amazing thing is their row of 7 Adam Neate posters from the previous shows. Posters term should be used loosely as again terrific production and at 10 quid def buy of the year especially if signed which I reckon if you beg they can find one. Got a full set for posterity.
Really great show with so much depth and great work . Glad I made it and def worth a visit if you can.

The orange and blue one in particular is amazing in person. As for the hologram, it really needs to be seen to be believed.
If you're in london tomorrow I'd highly recommend popping in.

New Adam Neate Editions, by Deleted on Sept 12, 2013 21:34:32 GMT 1, This is one of those annoying posts, that add no value to anyone else, but...
.. I've just unwrapped the Orange and Blue lenticular and it is bl##dy amazing!!!!! Get it vertical, step back a foot or two and BAM! Depth of about 75cm and a great viewing field. It really does look 3D. Even my 70 year old mother who thinks most of the artists i like 'need to grow up a bit' thinks it's incredible!
There, a post that adds no value, but allows a very very excited forumite to share a bit of exuberance!

Although Kneeling and Screaming would have been my first choice, Wine Drinker is just wonderful. The colors are quite vibrant, and make the piece really pop. Was quite surprised at how heavy the piece is. And I should comment on the shipping and communication by Elms Lester, which was first rate.
