Conor Harrington LIVE @ OFFSET2012, by Feral Things on Dec 13, 2012 9:56:55 GMT 1, Great video! Thanks for posting, thesmallprint.
It was fun seeing Conor's early graff work. Most writers usually hide their embarrassing early fumblings away rather than having the balls to project them onto a massive screen and laugh at them. I always find it interesting to see how an artist's work has got to where it is now. I got the impression from the video that Conor has been developing the aesthetics of his work and general themes like masculinity over a number of years but that the more specific geopolitical statements in his paintings are far more recent.
For those who are interested, I gather from Conor's Instagram page this morning that his show of sketches and studies at The Outsiders will open on 31st January. I thought the Dead Meat show really was a things of power and beauty so I'll be great to see the associated sketches, even though I can't make it to the opening night.
