Your latest Art Purchase?, by South Bound on Feb 8, 2018 18:13:25 GMT 1, Barry McGee.
4 unique variants on newsprint were released, I now have 2 of the 4.
The picture does not do it justice, the colors are the most vibrant i’ve seen.

Where does Banksy rank on the Most Influential Artists?, by South Bound on Feb 5, 2018 19:21:31 GMT 1, One who frequently gets left off these lists, but deserves to be high, is Donald Judd. He dwarfs almost all others 1960-present. agreed I also think Frank Stella is an easy addition.

Where does Banksy rank on the Most Influential Artists?, by South Bound on Feb 2, 2018 22:57:08 GMT 1, I think it also depends on who we are considering as artists.
I am leaving musicians out, as that would severely complicate the conversation. But are we also considering photographers (Henri Cartier-Bresson), Architects (Frank Lloyd Wright) and other art forms? I consider them both (Cartier-Bresson and Wright) artists of the highest order and both significantly more influential to modern culture than Banksy.

Where does Banksy rank on the Most Influential Artists?, by South Bound on Feb 2, 2018 22:41:17 GMT 1, Keep the votes coming. I get this is the ‘banksy’ forum but I’m surprised by all the top tens. Would love to hear some thoughts! Interested as well, as OP says anything Renaissance to modern day. That being the case I have a hard time even putting Banksy in the top 25 much less top 10.

Any NFL Fans?, by South Bound on Jan 25, 2018 15:08:14 GMT 1, it's a pure example of confirmation bias, people look for occurrences that fit the narrative. Just like the guy that mentioned Philly had a jail in their old stadium. What most people don't know is 90% of modern stadiums have jails/drunk tanks of some kind, not really that ground breaking.
Embrace the reputation, my own team fans just got a bad rep but totally support them because it’s us against the world.
That being said since Sunday the eagle fan stories have been rolling out:
On Minneapolis sports talk there are stories of the eagles fans throwing full beer bottles at the Viking players while they walk to their bus AFTER losing the games.
The Vikings QB, Case Keenum’s (a family friend) parents had to be surrounded by security and friends because of belligerent eagles fans.
And my favorite: USA Today - “Another Eagles Fan Punches Police Horse”... my favorites part is the word “Another” www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/1054001001

POW CLOSING DOWN - SALE ENDS 31ST DECEMBER 2017, by South Bound on Jan 20, 2018 2:30:17 GMT 1, I'm glad someone is. I'm 19 days into dry January. My wife is sick as a dog upstairs, my toddler has been sick all day (emergency diarrhea phone call from daycare, fun), my dog is neurotic as f**kand barking at the air like a lunatic, and I'm cranky af. Have one for me, would you? this just became my favorite post of the past year (as in past 365). I don’t usually delight in others misfortune, but it is stated so bluntly how could I not laugh (especially the dog part). I hope you have a better weekend and everyone gets well soon.

UK Urban/Street Artist Vs. USA Urban/Street Artist, by South Bound on Dec 19, 2017 14:58:09 GMT 1, Why are British sausages always better than anything else abroad too? that is the craziest s**t I’ve ever heard. I have yet to have a sausage that can compare to those from the upper Midwest (Wisconsin, Minnesota,etc)... and I hate the Midwest, but the sausages are no joke. Go to a Green Bay Packers tailgate and you will be converted.
Now back to the art discussion.

Todd James 🇺🇸 New Print Release • Painting • Art For Sale, by South Bound on Oct 5, 2017 21:46:34 GMT 1, agreed Coach, The organizers of the Venice Biennale thought he, Twist and Espo had potential when their collab "Street Market" accepted into the 2001 Biennale, Aaron Rose thought he had potential when he was included in the "Beautiful Losers" exhibit in 2004, and Jeffery Deitch thought he had potential when he brought "Street Market" back for "Art In The Streets" at the MOCA. Not to mention all of the heavy hitters he worked with as a designer. yeah, but his print releases aren't mega hyped. Isn't that the true measure of achievement and talent, tbh? haha, yeah. check mate

Todd James 🇺🇸 New Print Release • Painting • Art For Sale, by South Bound on Oct 5, 2017 21:32:29 GMT 1, I think some of his work is a bit hit and miss, but he has great potential. Some of the pieces I really like, but I haven't got anything by him yet. He's an extremely well respected and established artist. I think to say he has potential is somewhat understating his achievements and talent, to be honest. agreed Coach, The organizers of the Venice Biennale thought he, Twist and Espo had potential when their collab "Street Market" accepted into the 2001 Biennale, Aaron Rose thought he had potential when he was included in the "Beautiful Losers" exhibit in 2004, and Jeffery Deitch thought he had potential when he brought "Street Market" back for "Art In The Streets" at the MOCA.
