New Sandra Chevrier at Thinkspace, by South Bound on Oct 30, 2014 16:59:41 GMT 1, Buy what you like - that is the rule is it not? should not matter how well they are doing as long as you love it.
I agree, I meant more from the point of view of: I like her work in general, if I wait to much longer will she be out of my price range?

New Sandra Chevrier at Thinkspace, by South Bound on Oct 30, 2014 15:54:31 GMT 1, Sandra Chevrier just goes up another level with every piece. Big year next year, going to smash it as well.
So what are the details of this show? Who else is in it? If Eine is also in it then it looks like she is stepping to the next level.
Will her prices ever be the same? Or do I need to buy my OG now?

Story of POW, by South Bound on Oct 29, 2014 19:43:26 GMT 1, lol, damn, makes you wonder what else is wrong... Most all of it.
Not saying you are wrong, but he provides a pretty detailed bibliography. Other then just your word, what detail can you provide?

Anthony Lister - Hurt People, by South Bound on Oct 29, 2014 0:25:07 GMT 1, These make me really sad that my mini skirt print was damaged and I had to send back. I got the boat man, but it just isn't the same. Mine was damaged too. I didn't like the boatman, so took a refund instead. I had to file a Paypal dispute to get it, but all's well that ends well. I like the boat man, but it lacks the sensuality of the females... It would be awesome paired with one.
That being said, I really dig these paintings.

Is it just me, or is this person kind of a t**t?, by South Bound on Oct 26, 2014 4:27:09 GMT 1, Not to much searching just a google search, an article in "Modern Hiker"and "New York Times", spending thousands of hours of my life in the national parks ,and reading a countless amount literature / news regarding the outdoors. So far what I am reading is non-connected stories of assholes and not "Movements". A movement would speak poorly of the mentality of larger portions of the population... These occurances speak mainly about individuals making sh*tty decisions and not about a larger subset of society that deems this acceptable. I don't doubt your intentions, I just think wording could have been different. From the National Park Service (20139: National Park Service security officials say the latest batch of vandalism is being fueled by social media and a new competition among graffiti artists who are opting for high-profile targets on national park grounds. National Park Service Division of Law Enforcement head Charles Cuvelier said graffiti artists are using social media websites to share images, potentially triggering a new competition among vandals. ttp://www.nbcwashington.com/investigations/NPS-Social-Media-Fuels-Vandalism-at-National-Parks-225394092.html www.nytimes.com/2013/06/05/us/as-vandals-take-to-national-parks-some-point-to-social-media.html?pagewanted=all&_r=1&www.theverge.com/2013/6/6/4401984/national-park-blames-rise-in-graffiti-on-social-mediaAppears most consider her a poor artist not a tagger. So again, I get what you are saying BUT I think we are turning this into an argument regarding semantics and we could just go on forever arguing.
So let's just end this with the cliche: Let's just agree to disagree.

Dot Dot Dot • Bumfire, by South Bound on Oct 26, 2014 1:35:50 GMT 1, It's only the best Jelly Bean money can buy. You have to flip a lot of prints at 20 times the original cost to afford these!
I hate to get away from the silliness that is Chitown and his nonsense.
BUT NOW I'M PISSED... Starburst Jelly Beans are soooo much better

Is it just me, or is this person kind of a t**t?, by South Bound on Oct 25, 2014 21:46:03 GMT 1, The Smokies, but floated around colorado, Utah, and Cali in my younger years. Right outside Shenandoah National Park here. Beautiful this time of year. Visited Co quite a bit too, never thought of spray painting any of it though.
I have family living just North of Charlottesville... Right at the base of what I assume is the Shanandoah... Breathtaking.

Is it just me, or is this person kind of a t**t?, by South Bound on Oct 25, 2014 21:07:44 GMT 1, I am interested as to where you learned about this narcissistic U.S. "Movement"? Outside of the occasional idiot or dumb redneck writing "Bob loves cathy" (or similar nonsense) graffiti is an issue that I have rarely encountered in the national parks. I've spent significant portions of my life in the US national park system hiking large portions of the AT and hundreds of miles in a variety of the parks and have never encountered this narcissistic U.S. "Movement" you are referring to. I currently live a very very short drive from a famous national park and feel that the biggest issue is pollution, specifically air and water pollution. The lady doing this graffiti is an idiot nonetheless. However, the vast majority of American citizens (both conservative and liberal) take tremendous pride in our parks and are repelled by the assholes that abuse them in any fashion. I am out walking down Broadway in Manhattan on a beautiful Saturday (instead of wandering around Williamsburg looking for a Penny) and will have to find links later, I assume you've done no checking.

Is it just me, or is this person kind of a t**t?, by South Bound on Oct 25, 2014 19:34:50 GMT 1, Not sure I agree. Graff began as a response to people's surroundings. No respect for property, ownership or consequences. Perhaps this lass is just trying to paint somewhere that isn't a subway train. And, by the way, I too think she is an idiot. And paints like Stevie Wonder. Good points but here's the difference. There's a bit of a narcissistic "movement" in the States for "leaving your mark" in the national park system, of which she was into and tags. The idea is to leave some graffiti, photo it and FB/IG/etc. It's all about the self. In my opinion if the gov't can bring cases against a few home illegal downloaders to make an example they can go after people like this. This "leave your mark" graffiti is all about imposing one's narcissism on others, as it's been well-documented that FB's primary driver is narcissism. One could argue that the 80's tagging of subway cars was narcissistic, but I'd say no that was more the individual against the machine. Graffiti in national parks has so little to say.

New JR with 99 Prints, by South Bound on Oct 24, 2014 16:36:25 GMT 1, I have seen a lot worse in recent weeks. Admittedly though not at €2k
I think you have to figure in the price when critiquing this... IMO, this gets weakest print of the year. If it was significantly cheaper, I would not feel this way.
Regardless, this print feels really lazy.

STRENGTHENING OUR COMMUNITY, by South Bound on Oct 24, 2014 3:36:15 GMT 1, Agreed... Actually today a member offered to help me with a drop that I cannot make do to family obligations. The forum has a bunch of really great members. It is unfortunate that this is sometimes overshadowed by threads that thrive on the negative.

To the person sending BS offers to me on ebay talking shit, by South Bound on Oct 23, 2014 19:06:35 GMT 1, this is a piss take thread yes ? I feel thaat I am strapped into some kind of matrix structure, a fat balding keaneau reeves, doomed to watch this facsimilie event unroll every year or so , like a slim whitman 8 track jammed in the player of a stalled ford granada at scratchwood services , until the end of my life, unable to do any thing about it.
You forgot one characteristic: if this is the matrix, what would signify a glitch in the matrix?
