Bit of advice on a outside gift Banksy please.., by lifeonwalls on Aug 29, 2012 21:57:58 GMT 1, Depends on the print and where the message is.
I personally wouldn't want a print with anyone else's name/message on it and therefore wouldn't pay a premium for it.
I'm sure it will reopen the old questions of how/why/when PC authorized it as recently they have not done that for the Cans prints.

Bit of advice on a outside gift Banksy please.., by bigp on Aug 29, 2012 22:09:45 GMT 1, The message is at the bottom left.
That's what I was thinking,if its personalised to someone else it must effect the price. Thanks

Bit of advice on a outside gift Banksy please.., by Fred Quimby Fan on Aug 29, 2012 22:22:38 GMT 1, I disagree - I actually would collect it more so if it was personalised - same with autographs, many prefer a personalisation as it adds to the provenance of the piece and usually has a story attached, which does add value.
Gift prints in my eyes are worth more than the regular prints - there are fewer of them out there and in the case of the Cans print as mentioned above, they are not 'back-door prints' or 'APs' from a known series, they are a unique design from a tiny run. They're more desirable...

Bit of advice on a outside gift Banksy please.., by xmyart on Aug 29, 2012 22:42:26 GMT 1, But you cant get a COA for them unless your the original owner. Which means the new owner cant get it in their name, which will make it harder to sell and therefore lower the value. If the original owners COA gets lost along the way, thats it, your done.
At least thats how i read the situation.

Bit of advice on a outside gift Banksy please.., by twist65 on Aug 30, 2012 0:20:55 GMT 1, i wouldn't be too bothered chyren, thats a cracker!!
For me it totally depends on the individual piece and message, there's no catch-all rule. If some bloke called Steve offered me a Banksy that had inscribed "to Steve love from Banksy X" then I probably wouldn't want it, as my names not Steve. However if the Steve in question was Mr Lazarides then all of a sudden its a more interesting print! =]

Bit of advice on a outside gift Banksy please.., by Deleted on Aug 30, 2012 8:40:34 GMT 1, Just wanted some advice please.. Is a gift outside Banksy print worth more or less than a Ltd ed print. It's signed and a personal message on it.and it's been authenticated by PC. Thanks
Buy it if you like it, if you buy with an eye on its future value ie. as a gamble then its a gamble, if you are selling then get as much as you can for it.
