Hi guys.
I have someone interested in a Hush print I'm selling and they live in the USA.
Im in sunny UK.
What's the best, safest and cheapest way to get a rolled up print to the States.
DHL want nearly £50. There must be a cheaper way.

Anyone get any experiences in this?

Ive had prints sent between USA, UK and Australia and always pay around £25 max.....thats express international shipping with insurance and tracking. Only ever had one delay on an item.

It seems that shipping from the USA into the UK is much cheaper than the UK to USA.
Which company did you use in the UK?

I can tell you shipping from US to UK I pay $40 or £25 on average through the post office. That's insured and tracked.

I use parcel2go.com - they are a third party which come and collect from you and get good deals from FeEx, TNT, DHL etc

I am currently sending a small tube to the states for £15.57 (DHL Worldwide Express) + £11.50 for insurance

For prints worth up to £500, Royal Mail International Signed for has never let me down.
A 700gram package would cost £13.65 + £2.50 for the additional insurance.
Make sure you ask for the package to be insured for £500 otherwise it will only be insured for £46!

As said above, i've used Royal Mail for sending tubes to the US and Canada. It generally goes by Airsure and can be tracked, although I think this service is limited by the size of tube and to an insurance value of £500.

I've sent a few prints using this method and i've never have had any trouble (touch wood). Also, it's best to ensure that you spend time in packaging and it's always best to 'over-do' it as it's better safe than sorry!

Recently, I sent a tube to the US (CA) using this method and it cost £19.83 with a weight of 0.9kg.

Yeh i just used royal mail too.....always been good.

I've received a number of tubes here in the states through Royal Mail (delivered by USPS on this end) and never had a problem. Also, as mentioned above, make sure it's good and secure. If you've ever got a print from BRP, do what they do in regards to securing the print. Little corner pockets on the backing paper will keep it from sliding into the end of the tube and crinkling the edge of the print.

Ive also used these, no complaints. Another 3rd party company ive been using lately are 'transglobalexpress'. They have worked out cheaper than 'parcel2go' for same service.
