You're probably right; I'd let it go for ยฃ750 but no less. I paid ยฃ1,500 for it  ; hindsight is a wonderful thing...

Those of us that have been buying prints for some time have more than enough to fill our walls, and quite frankly have got bored with a print - unless it is from an artist we are collecting. We are now looking at buying originals, ar at the very least something that has a bit of individuality to it, such as the most recent Faile Ecstacy print.
Those that are new to the scene cannot afford the ridiculous prices that some people think they can still get for some half-arsed poorly produced piece of art.
I'd still like an Adam Neate on my wall and am waiting til the right piece comes along; but I'm not prepared to make do with an overpriced print. That's not to denigrate the work, just that the prints are all still overpriced; and that goes for a lot of artists.

Not at all. If that's how it reads then I apologise. I think Adam Neate is the one artist that will be around for many years to come, and his work will be much sought after in years to come, even his prints.
I would love a Neate original, but have become bored with prints as they are not a patch on looking at the work/paint/brush work of an original. Personally, I'm at the stage where I would rather pay more money for an original.
My first Banksy print was in 2003, and 7 years on I will still buy his prints as I can't afford an original. But there is a great deal of work that is being released today that is a step backward from what was going on a few years ago. There is still some great work going on - Blu, Os Gemeos to name but two. The formers' work doesn't translate well in a print, and the latter have never released a print.
Anyone can knock up a stencil, and release a print.

I paid more than that for mine but it has been on the wall and enjoyed. I made the most of the price drop and bought a Deepend and a NOTV in the last 12 months. Neither have made the wall yet, but are great prints and will at some point ;D

Ian Francis edition of 50 don't sell for more than ยฃ100/ยฃ150 nowadays. (That's what I sold mine for).
