Vhils print -- Help, by Grafter on Sept 30, 2008 10:40:55 GMT 1, My tube from POW dropped today and the Vhils is really stunning. However, I can't make out whether one part of it, the bottom left of the chin, is damaged or it's supposed to look like that. Anyone else got a similar mark on their one...

Vhils print -- Help, by carlito on Sept 30, 2008 10:51:09 GMT 1, looking at that part and the area below same colour etc...I'd say part of the print...but i guess running your finger over it to see if it's been dinked / torn may give you the answer?

Vhils print -- Help, by K-Guy on Sept 30, 2008 11:00:18 GMT 1, I reckon... due to the unscientific process used to create these prints i.e. forcing bleach through a silk screen, it looks to me like a blob has landed on the print and caused a mark - difficult to clarify without seeing it in the flesh. Cracking print though!

Vhils print -- Help, by Grafter on Sept 30, 2008 11:04:23 GMT 1, The paper is perfectly flat and not damaged in any way, which makes me think it's part of the print. Completley love the overall image, just wish the blemish wasn't so obvious.

Vhils print -- Help, by jon11 on Sept 30, 2008 11:05:00 GMT 1, i thought you were a street artist grafter? - why the call for uniformity and disregard for the hand pulled finish and process?
you can see the bright blue showing through and many parts of the print seem distressed in that way - whats the problem? stick to clinton cards or athena if thats the finish you're after
lets hope people dont have the same quibbles when receiving your works - your posty will have repetitive strain injury otherwise

Vhils print -- Help, by Happy Shopper on Sept 30, 2008 11:13:13 GMT 1, Looks like an imperfection in the hand made image, but not damage. If it's approved by the artist as one of the edition, and not a reject, then I think it's OK.

Vhils print -- Help, by Grafter on Sept 30, 2008 11:15:28 GMT 1, Not complaining at all.... I shall say it for the 3rd time in this thread for those who are hard of hearing......THIS PRINT IS STUNNING...
Having laid out near on 300 of my hard earned, I just wanted to make sure I didn't have a damaged piece of paper.

Vhils print -- Help, by Happy Shopper on Sept 30, 2008 11:30:21 GMT 1, Wish I'd gone for this print now. I notice all the ebay sellers are doing "Buy Now", and not risking it! Buggers.

Vhils print -- Help, by Happy Shopper on Sept 30, 2008 12:28:54 GMT 1, One of the ebay ones looks very weird. Much lighter blue, with purple splashes. Grafter, yours looks better than that!
(Interesting that a lot of the ebay sales say "In Hand", but all use the POW image.)

Vhils print -- Help, by jon11 on Sept 30, 2008 12:46:59 GMT 1, it's part of the process and adds to the artistic beauty of this piece - as an 'artist' i thought you'd be all about this grafter - or at least telling us what to make of it - not asking the opinion of a bunch of collectors
i think the 'blemish' adds and fits perfectly and does flow with similar parts on the print - it's all fucked up and thats the style - sweet image - sweet execution and technique

Vhils print -- Help, by Grafter on Sept 30, 2008 14:26:55 GMT 1, Thanks for all the help guys.... I'm going to live with it, I think, as I'm so happy with the rest of it I wouldn't want to risk getting a new one and it not being as nice.

Vhils print -- Help, by Guest on Sept 30, 2008 14:58:41 GMT 1, I dont think the blemish detracts from the image at all. makes it even more unique!
Im loving this release more than "nothing lasts forever".
