Hello everyone,

Hope you’re enjoying the Fall.

Thought we’d drop a brief update on a few things that are happening in and out of the studio.

First things first, we are proud to announce Perry Rubenstein Gallery will be representing Faile here in the US. We have plans to do a solo show with the gallery in mid-2010.

We will be debuting new works with Perry Rubenstein at FIAC in Paris next week. The fair opens on the 22nd of October and runs through the 25th of October. They can be found at booth D01 in the Cour Carree.

These are a new series of works that we are calling the Wood Paintings, you can check out a preview of a few pieces through this link: www.faile.net/site/FIAC.html

Of course, we continue to be represented by Lazarides in the UK. A few things coming up later this year and early next year, more info as dates are confirmed. For any direct inquires concerning new works please contact: [e-mail]

The exhibition in Portugal has been postponed until next year due to reasons beyond our control. We will keep you posted as dates are confirmed later this year though it’s looking like next summer.

Currently we’re focussing on new works in the studio. We will do a small print release in November. The releases will continue to be online through www.faile.net

There will be a new print coming through www.papermonster.net in the next week as well. We will pass on a link when available.

As any more info or dates are available we will let you know. A lot of great projects lined up for next year, we’ll be in touch.

These guys are always looking to improve on their work and keep coming back with amazing pieces.
Its funny how they get some bad publicity on here and people start moaning about them and off-loading their works causing a flood of available pieces and therefore a decline in price.
I personally think they are here for the long term as they have great talent and good business heads on them.
I would love one of these 'wooden' pieces.
Any ideas on cost?

Looking at that link to FIAC pieces, I am thinking - incredible.
Best Faile stuff I have seen in the long time and I've pretty much liked most of it so far (on this scale).

The last 2 were $875 and $1000. But thats when the exchange rate was good for us brits!

Its a shame POW arent doing the cheaper releases. A much better deal for us brits (in terms of exchange rate, postage etc) and they would have to keep prices in context (with what they charge for the Banksy editions).

Gotta say the photos of the wood pieces do nothing at all for me. Something for the hardened Faile headz and typography lovers I guess.

As for cheap Faile releases? I think you lot are kidding yourselves. They don't seem interested in keeping prices down and my perception is that this is a pretty effective way of getting rid of flippers. Having been someone who's complained about flipping in the past, I can see where they're coming from I suppose and if nothing else, at least collectors' money ends up in the hands of people who deserve it instead of going to paracites!

agree with zippy, these guys always come back with new ideas and stronger works. The wood paintings are amazing and some of their best work to date. I wonder if they will install one on the street, like they did with the prayer wheels.
As for the PM release, big edition and $750 thats my guess.

I can assure you mate you'll never see a Banksyesque Faile release. They've been infamous for aligning their pricing based on secondary pricing. I highly doubt we'll see a release in line with the old paper monster prices, they'll either lower it $700 or adjust the edition size accordingly.
