Nick Smith x Bonhams event, by sevrin on Apr 30, 2024 8:49:46 GMT 1, Here are a few pics of last nights 'Nick Smith x Bonhams', in the aid of The Trussell Trust at Bonhams Bond Street.
Some lovely pieces on show for the upcoming 'Hot Off The Press' auction on Wednesday.
There were also x2 limited edition Nick Smith prints available to purchase on the night, 'Love' and 'Art' which are different colouways of his earlier 'Fame' and 'Beauty' pieces, along with x2 new unique pieces available at the auction, and several other limited editions.
A big thank you to Nick, as all the proceeds from the sale of the 2 new prints are being very kindly donated to The Trussell Trust!
It was a lovely evening and in aid of a great cause, thank you to Nick Smith, Bonhams, Rhodes and The Trussell Trust.

Nick Smith x Bonhams event, by Wanchope on May 1, 2024 11:12:27 GMT 1, Wow I have to say Bonhams have been shocking in their replies about a piece in their auction today. I have never dealt with them before, but asked for provenance and photos on a particular piece and one chap replied with little info and I still havent had photos of the provenance for the piece after 4 days of asking...... If I were the seller I would be livid! Also why do they charge 28% plus BP plus ARR (although again they couldn't even determine if there is ARR to pay). What a shambles and puts me right off bidding now anyway.

Nick Smith x Bonhams event, by The Greased Piglet on May 2, 2024 2:43:43 GMT 1, Auction was a complete blood bath, completely clueless, lazy and the same old garbage. Probably 10 prints in the whole auction worth bidding on, rest complete waste of time in this market, when are auction houses going to tell sellers to put their tat back under the bed?

It takes a bold man to truck with the likes of Bonhams or any auction house for that matter in these chastened times chap! But fortune favours the bold old sport. Hurrah!
