Visit São Paulo 🇧🇷 Brazil Street Art, Galleries & Events, by pezlow on Apr 8, 2007 7:17:26 GMT 1, Just got this email from Graffiti Brasil. Some nice stuff on there. I still like the Speto birds the best:
The Graffiti Brasil shop has been updated
www.graffitibrasil.com/shop.html
Two new Speto prints (a pair of Brazilian Bandits), an extra print by Tinho and a print from a Japanese artist, Atsuo have been added today.
This is the last update before switching the shop to a new site www.choquecultural.co.uk which should be ready at the end of April.
Once we switch prices may go up by £5-£10 - so this is a last month to buy prints at the current price.
The new site will be a joint venture with the Choque Cultural gallery in Sao Paulo and be their global shop, distributed via the UK.
.................
The final reserve set of Herbert Baglione prints are now for sale as a set or separately at £250 each - a precedent on the price has been set by Chester's Blacksmith Shop in the US who recently sold these SOLD OUT prints for US$ 500 each. See the shop archive.
.................
The coming year should see many new prints from artists such as Kboco, Calma & Titifreak, as well as a few European artists.
Best wishes
Tristan

tadghostal - I like the two new speto prints but I'm not sure I'd say they were "a lot of fun" the one with the ivory background looks like the bandit has chopped a kids head off with a knife!

Yes.....they're ideal for where they'll be going. I've always a tape measure at hand when ordering a print to avoid any surprises. ;D
Thanks though.

Gadzooks! Good eye there. I didn't like that print much, so gave it little more than a cursory glance. It sure looks like you're right. Oh well, I still say that subject matter not withstanding, they're still fun images. I like the way his subjects have been stylized.

[São Paulo, Brazil] On January 19th 2008, Jonathan LeVine Gallery in association with Choque Cultural Gallery, presents: Made in America, a group exhibition featuring artwork by: Gary Baseman, Tim Biskup, Andrew Brandou, DALEK, Shepard Fairey, AJ Fosik, Camille Rose Garcia, MARS 1, Souther Salazar, SHAG and Jeff Soto. Jonathan LeVine Gallery’s goal in organizing this series of International exhibitions is to help create a visual dialogue within our global community, a creative exchange of ideas that transcend class and cultural differences, while crossing geographical borders. The objective is to promote freedom of expression through exposing new artwork to people in different cities, worldwide.

Visit São Paulo 🇧🇷 Brazil Street Art, Galleries & Events, by thebleedingedge on Jun 19, 2008 18:05:28 GMT 1, I love South American and African stuff. It's more about pushing the limits of creativity within a medium because it's almost as if they need to find their own voice rather than using the prepackaged one straight from the wild style era in the states. Lot's of styles will be bitten, of that there is no doubt, let's just hope the originators see half the reward that the copybots do.
