Hi all,

Am just curious if there are discrepancies in POW tubes? Specifically I am interested in the Soup Cans one. An eBay seller contacted me saying the winning bid didnt pay and is offering it to me. Was just wondering if this is a legit looking POW tube and email receipt?

Check the shipping date on the tube with the order receipt. I dont remember POW using tracking on the cheap poster orders. Could also be the tube of a different pow print if the collector mixed them up.

Do tubes really make a difference? I mean with the COA and emailed receipt.... Does a tube really add to authenticity? I have thrown away more than I care to remember....

I definitely didn't keep the POW poster tubes, as discussed previously they were like smarties tubes (fair enough they were £10 posters) but if I was moving posters on now I would use a more generously sized tube.

for starters this almost certainly means that they were shill bidding to bring the price up and they were the top bidder

No COA with these, so all you can get is the email receipt, plus tube helps.

Tube labels on this doesn’t look like ones I’ve received from POW... but they have changed over the years.

Hi, this is FAKE !

1. : Postage label looks weird
2. : Receipt is incorrect.
3. : Postage was not 25
3. : The end cap is incorrect.

And indeed bidder's identy are hidden, so you can't see who is bidding.
So probably they are shil bidding and then "giving the second bidder a second chance".

Also - I for one wouldn't place a 10 year old postage tube that has been through the post and stored wherever directly on top of a print that is a) worth over a grand, and b) looks like it will keep going up in value if Banksy continues like this in fear of marking or scuffing it

I get worried even unrolling a print in case I mark it let alone plonk a tube on top for a photo like he has

The end cap is very incorrect. Pretty sure the warning wasn't on the cap back in 2006, it was every man / woman for themselves.

The length people go to fake these (and other prints etc..) is shocking. The collective Knowledge in this forum is great for helping others not get scammed. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Collective knowledge is greater but sometimes perhaps aids scammers. I've often sent DM warnings to people with "off" deets rather than post it to the world.
