Props to POW, by bonesy on Oct 29, 2007 22:04:05 GMT 1, Ive talked trash about POW in the past (extra prints, getting shafted on MY Grannies print) but I gotta give it up to them for as smooth a release of this proportion as possible.
They did do a good job here (besides the Protx thing which they are addressing). I was on the phone with a friend when the Signed Color came up and immediately dropped #260 or 270 something into my cart. He was at his computer F5ing as well and by the time the page loaded for him (10 second maybe) he dropped #600 something into his cart. All 750 colored prints were gone within 20 seconds. They invested the money into LOTS of bandwidth and a good cart system and it has worked out, props to them.
Too bad their outsourced crdit card processing company cant handle the traffic now but they seem to be addressing this.

Props to POW, by jnschicago on Oct 29, 2007 22:39:25 GMT 1, I must say that I disagree with this sentiment. They have clearly improved the functionality of their site. But, the ProTX stage of the transaction is still a disaster. And, as long as that's the case, the customer service experience in total is going to be lousy. I'm sure there are dozens, probably hundreds, of people (including myself) who stayed up for hours on end F5'ing till their fingers were numb...then were lucky enough to put a print in their basket only to have the whole thing go down the drain with ProTX. This is POW's problem. They're the ones who outsourced to these morons. I should be the proud owner of a Trolley's (Colour) print. Instead, I'm a disgruntled grouch with extra space on my wall.

If you got in your basket and had a problem at Protx POW is going to still sell you the print you had in your basket.
