Framing & Hanging Pics - A Guardian Article, by Jaylove on Jun 10, 2018 11:48:22 GMT 1, I usually trace the art on top of brown paper. Then cut it out and place it on the wall to see how it looks. That way Iโm able to see ahead of time whether something works or not and I donโt end up putting holes in my walls. Works very well for picture walls.

Nice tip.
I remember reading on another thread this tip about using a fork to hang a picture. This taken from readers digest:
"Place the fork face down with the handle sticking skyward and the nail/screw wedged between the middle tines. The fork's natural contours will cause it to stick out from the wall at a slight angle, which is now your official Picture Wire On-Ramp. Slide the wire behind the fork until it reaches the nail. Remove the fork."
