Graffitiprints mini vault sale, by Jaylove on Dec 12, 2017 20:51:44 GMT 1, how does GP manage to have a few of these "sales" on sold out prints? I'm still of the opinion than they don't always sell out. Like they hold some back. This is a hunch and I have no proof so don't come down on me.

Graffitiprints mini vault sale, by Poster Bob on Dec 12, 2017 21:19:29 GMT 1, He holdsback 10% of every run and then flips them. Just like PFG. Check his Instagram page for the insane number of PPs he flips all year round.

Graffitiprints mini vault sale, by chevyav53 on Dec 12, 2017 21:24:39 GMT 1, It is good for them to hold back prints in case of damaged or lost and for loyal clients. Then if they decide to sell later after seeing the market has gone up you can't fault the guy for increasing the price.
So many people flipping why can't he raise the price now that the value has gone up? I am ok with the business profiting over someone trying to flip if it means more great art to come.

Graffitiprints mini vault sale, by gd79 on Dec 12, 2017 21:27:50 GMT 1, Some get returned too, even if sold out. I picked up a print on drop recently. Didn't like it when I received it and so returned it. Very good service from GP, but under EU regs you have a legal right to return any mail order product within a week or so. No reason needed.

Yeah exactly. Just look at how many are listed on EBay but no one bats an eyelid, yet when the people who we should be supporting try Increase release prices or hold a few back to make a bit more money (printhouses and artists) people lose their minds

There is a very good recent freakonomics podcast about venue ticket prices. The sweet and short of it is ticketmaster model works cause they are willing to be the bad guy as everyone is getting a cut of those crazy fees, from promotors to vendors etc and on some level it's best to protect the artists so as they don't look like sell outs selling at above market price. I.e. the existence of flippers and 2ndary prices.. It's pure economics of limited items though one (however unlikely) runs the risk of alienating buyers (as there is no big bad ticketmaster to piss on). Check it out it's very applicable to the art game
