The Art you just never get / or got/ around to buying, by daveart on Jan 31, 2017 19:39:57 GMT 1, Eh. just a slow day .. was thinking about art that i kept meaning to buy but never pulled the trigger and would buy something else spur of the moment... and then never end up buying the art i was meaning to buy.
example: Seems ten years have flown by since Robert Indiana published the Book Of Love Love pieces. Wall friendly, wife loves them, classic. I set out to buy all or most of them and make a whole wall of 'love.' I bought four over a few years early on.. You could get them for 2K USD at one point. So couldnt buy them all at one go but just figured I would buy one here and there as they came up. Well, i stopped... and now the little buggers are 8-10K for the best color ways. And instead over - ten years - i bought some real impulse buy urban art that is hodepodge - wife doesnt like it - and i still dont have my wall of love.
I think there is something to this urban scene that is impulse related - NEW DROP ! BUY BUY BUY .. Love prints are everywhere - i can buy them any time. Hot new artist!! BUY BUY BUY .. etc. so, anyway, just curious if others get caught up in buying the latest flavor and keep putting off something they have planned to do for a good while.

but if anyone has one, I'd love to have a chat with them about it... $$$$ waiting.

The Art you just never get / or got/ around to buying, by p4ryd on Feb 1, 2017 12:23:01 GMT 1, This definitely sounds familiar! I am exactly the same but not necessarily new artist on the drop. It can include prints I have never seen before that crop up. I will like it and for that split second I forget other prints I am saving for and impulse buy what I have just seen. Then back to saving but with another print in the folder that I will need to get around to framing. I have now ended up with an A1 book of prints .
