Donald Trump, by Deleted on Apr 6, 2019 12:18:00 GMT 1, I know British politics is in a mess at the moment but I look across the pond to the USA and can't help feeling that we in the UK are doing pretty well comparatively speaking. Are Americans really supposed to choose between Trump and Biden? Is that the best America has produced in the 21st century? Why are Americans so dumb as to end up in this situation? I despair. Both are produced well in the 20th century. Don't think an 18 year old candidate will have a chance at winning.... I meant experienced politicians of the 21st century. Is this the best they can come up with? What does that say about American politics and the American voting public?

Voting for the uncertainties of Brexit pales in to insignificance compared to voting for a blithering idiot like Donald Trump.

Donald Trump, by Wearology on Apr 6, 2019 14:50:09 GMT 1, That Biden video is truly disturbing ! When I watch the news - it seems like a contest between the UK & US on which country can publicly embarrass themselves politically moore. America is winning at this moment but it seems like the UK is determined to win in the long run.

What a monumental cunt.

Donald Trump, by moron on Apr 13, 2019 0:12:26 GMT 1, It's very odd that. People calling Trump all sorts of things and ignoring the same things by people who they voted for.
It's a bit like all those Hollyweird me too feminists who supported Roman Polanski and campaigned to have the charges against him dropped.

Donald Trump, by teabaggins on Apr 13, 2019 2:21:30 GMT 1, his approval rating is now over 50%.... american economy/jobs booming.... wall actually under construction.... i’m happy, lol! You must be referring to this ...
On Thursday, Trump shared an inaccurate graphic on Twitter that said his overall approval rating was 55 percent.
The graphic was produced by the Fox Business Network and broadcast the night before on “Lou Dobbs Tonight.”
After Trump’s tweet, the network offered multiple on-air corrections, including one from Dobbs, who said he wanted “to repair something I got wrong.”
The graphic with the incorrect number remained in Trump’s Twitter feed as of Friday morning.
His actually approval rating is 45. Must be an example all that “Fake News” he’s always on about ....

I work hard pay tax on everything and then pay more taxes and then get to watch as 60 major corporations get off Scott-free with no taxation at all because of a tax restructuring Trump and the republicans put in place. I stopped believing anything he says about 9 months ago.

Tell that to my first generation from Mexico wife and her entire family.. regardless of views on him a lot of this country wants a secure border with immigrants coming only through legal passages.. as did basically every other leader of our country for the past 30 or so years as apparent buy their own statements in the past.. there's nothing racist about wanting a secure border that's facing hundreds of thousands of people trying to sneak in on a regular basis
- from an entirely non White US household

And so was Germany’s economy during WWI, war is good for the economy, what’s your point? 10 billion dollars for the wall comes out to about ~$30 per taxpayer. Not exactly robbing the coffers of welfare and education. Seems like the majority of the money has and will continue to come from the defense budget so...

Donald Trump, by everyoneowes on Apr 13, 2019 13:32:51 GMT 1, The economic boom fuelled by tax cuts won't last. What will is the growing deficit as a proportion of GDP.
In ten years time immigrants will still be breaching the border. The planet will be burning even faster. The US deficit will be the biggest in history as will the divide between rich and poor.
This joker has one agenda. Himself, his family and his peers. He's the Murdoch of politics. Unsurprisingly the latter's media outlets are his greatest supporter. Everyone else is cannon fodder. I have no doubt he'll be re-elected.

Hitler also made his economy boom (before he started WWII) but hopefully we can agree the he was not a good leader.
Incidentally, I thought Trump claimed (on numerous occasions) that Mexico would pay for the wall. What happened to that?

Contrary to what Trump keeps telling people, there is no existential threat to America from Mexican illegal immigrants. Mexicans are no more drug dealers and rapists than American citizens are. In fact, Donald Trump himself relies on cheap Mexican labour to clean his office blocks, cut the lawn on his golf course, and do many of the unskilled jobs that keep the American economy going.
But the most troubling of all claims is that the wall will somehow stop illegal immigration. It will not. What Trump conveniently doesn't tell people is that most illegal aliens are those who have entered the USA through perfectly legal border crossings and simply have remained there after their visa has expired. Building a wall will not achieve what you think it will achieve. It's a vanity project to pander to the most nasty aspects of the American psyche. It's like Nigel Farage and Tommy Robinson here in the UK. It is no coincidence that Farage loves Trump and vice-versa.

Donald Trump, by everyoneowes on Apr 13, 2019 16:37:29 GMT 1, To be fair he struggles to remember which claims he's made and which ones to stick to - he probably dreamt up the Mexico-paying-for-the-wall one on the same day he imagined his golf handicap was 3, his inauguration crowd was the biggest in history, and that he could bone his own daughter, if only she wasn't related to him. The ones that happen to have stuck are his bullsh** golf handicap and the constant need to talk up his own popularity, altho he'd probably still have a go at Ivanka given (a) she's married and (b) has a pussy. #lockerroomtalk

Not a good leader isn’t exactly equivocal to genocide. If you feel he’s a bad leader why not try comparing him to Nixon. If anyone thought Mexico was going to write a check for 10 billion that’s a bit nieve. With the improved trade deals he’s reached renegotiating NAFTA if congress cooperated he could’ve used that money for the wall and “Mexico would’ve paid for it”.

With all due respect... I'll refer back to my in laws who so happen to live in East La, and happen to have gone about becoming citizens legally.. as both my brothers in law, and father in law lost their jobs to illegal workers being willing to take less hourly pay.. by far.. and they are now working for lower wages.. there's no secret why the areas of the country with highest illegal population tend to also have some of the lowest paying blue collar jobs
Again.. just a non White, in the mix daily point of view.. stop referring to a wall as racist.. even Obama campaigned for,and funded it... and perhaps you missed what Obama did to Cuban residents within his last week or so in office?
If you can't take the word of people living amongst the illegals daily, border workers daily issues, or simple statistics showing attempted illegal crossings, I don't know what to tell u.. it doesn't need to be the highest point to be important, and how can we possibly know the truth at unpatrolled areas? Do you know anyone that came over through the desert? Would you like to speak to some? There's thousands everyday
Then again, since u view this as racist, unfair, etc.. Feel free to unlock your doors on your home, car, and feel free to offer your job to someone who wants a better life tonight before going to bed.. there's not wrong with wanting to protect something
No one said they are all criminals, they need not be criminal to effect our economy, way of life, etc negatively.. again.. a very Mexican, very realistic point of view being given to you here
Or are you just blowing hot air, but wouldn't sacrifice what you have to help these In need?
Again.. not siding with the man, siding with a realistic need to have safe borders.. including ports, air travel, etc all of which are being asked to have more finding by him
Tell that to my first generation from Mexico wife and her entire family.. regardless of views on him a lot of this country wants a secure border with immigrants coming only through legal passages.. as did basically every other leader of our country for the past 30 or so years as apparent buy their own statements in the past.. there's nothing racist about wanting a secure border that's facing hundreds of thousands of people trying to sneak in on a regular basis - from an entirely non White US household I think this idea of America being flooded with illegal Mexican immigrants needs a bit more unpicking. With all due respect... Everyone conviently forgets Democrats very recent positions on all sorts of issues they’re all rallying for/against now. Plenty of articles and interviews out there, I guess plugging your eyes and closing your eyes works if you need to support your narrative.
Hillary didn’t support gay marriage until recent years, and reportedly privately still doesn’t. Obama supported separating families at the border because he didn’t want to promote parents bringing children on such dangerous trips, and given special treatment for doing so. Democrats flip flop whichever way they need to get the votes. Say what you want about Republicans but at least you know where they really stand. You don’t see them abandoning their beliefs and values depending on the weather.

Donald Trump, by Deleted on Apr 13, 2019 17:44:34 GMT 1, My 'point' was that just because the economy is booming, that doesn't make Trump a good president. Hitler also made his economy boom but hopefully we can agree the he was not a good leader. Incidentally, I thought Trump claimed (on numerous occasions) that Mexico would pay for the wall. What happened to that? Not a good leader isn’t exactly equivocal to genocide. If you feel he’s a bad leader why not try comparing him to Nixon. If anyone thought Mexico was going to write a check for 10 billion that’s a bit nieve. With the improved trade deals he’s reached renegotiating NAFTA if congress cooperated he could’ve used that money for the wall and “Mexico would’ve paid for it”. The German economy didn't thrive because of genocide. The German economy was doing very well under Hitler before the Jewish holocaust started or even before WWII started. In fact, there are a number of similarities between Hitler and Trump (if you ignore the genocide bit). Of course people were naive to think Mexico would pay for the wall. But that didn't stop Trump from repeatedly claiming they would...and people apparently believing him.
