Pest control , tipping point, by dotdot on Mar 10, 2015 21:26:04 GMT 1, Hello , quick query...
If you had an ongoing discussion with pc , at what point would you call it quits and call the " whoever might get things moving" in...? If you'd sent something in and heard nothing back from them, after repeated attempts at ' hello, what's the story'...
Generally they are , admittedly ok , fine , no problem, but everyonce in a while... Well things don't seem to go to plan , for whatever reason , communication is after all a large factor in any 'process' , right ?
..

If they feel they have answered all the questions or points then they are not obliged to continue.

Pest control , tipping point, by Snakes on Mar 10, 2015 22:12:05 GMT 1, I sent the details for a print of mine to them on a Saturday and had the certificate on the Thursday. Bearing in mind they no doubt only opened my submission on the Monday morning a three day turnaround was superb.
Maybe there is something iffy with your print?

Same shit happened to the Warhol Foundation, collapsed under the weight of numerous lawsuits and their self righteousness.

Similarly Warhol produced huge amounts of undocumented work and Banksy hardly any I would assume so a huge difference I would say. US is lawsuit central the UK is not so I doubt it

Good point and I was talking about this the other day what if PC shuts up shop? Could be carnage!?!

Dont worry about that, if and when PC decide to go back on the stand up comedy circuit then there will be plenty of bodies setting up to authenticate, remember Vermin?.

Pest control , tipping point, by sgolby on Mar 13, 2015 18:38:19 GMT 1, I have had several experiences with PC, and they do take time to answer sometimes. However in my experience if you are polite and patient they eventually get back to you. Personally I prefer that they take their time to get something right rather than dismiss it as fake or real, and then have to retract.

Pest control , tipping point, by Oski on Mar 13, 2015 18:57:11 GMT 1, I've deal with PC a couple of times the last few months:
1. In November I had two prints submitted for authentication/COA through the website on the 12th (they send an automated email immediately indicating receipt of request) and by the 17th they sent me an email notifying the verification and provided payment information for the COAs. A week later I had the certs in the mail across the pond. 2 weeks from beginning to end.
2. Last month I submitted a request for a change of ownership for two prints that already had COAs. The request was submitted through the PC site on the 7th (automated email confirming receipt of request) and by the 16th they sent out an email to both me (as buyer) and the seller for us to confirm that the purchase and sale had indeed taken place (this should really be standard practice for any authentication at this point). By the 18th a follow up email was sent to let me know that the transfer of ownership in their database has been updated. Less than 2 weeks from beginning to end.
In both incidences, they have been nothing but efficient and communicative. I think the delays experienced by some may be due to prints being more difficult to authenticate and thus need someone who was actually at POW at the time to inspect and evaluate?

However authenticating new work can take quite a long time. I am still waiting on authentication from a purchase about 5 months ago. They have responded to my emails maybe not every single one, but enough to keep me from feeling I am in the twilight zone.

Pest control , tipping point, by Poster Bob on Mar 13, 2015 19:12:21 GMT 1, It's completely hit or miss. I am still awaiting the transfer of ownership for one print submitted in July and two from November. All three were submitted with invoices and clear pictures; I verified the current owners before purchasing and all of the owners responded within a week stating that I purchased the prints. I submitted two change of ownership requests two weeks ago and now both of the prints are now under my name. I can't understand how it works.
