A real MBW, or not?, by Deleted on Dec 27, 2014 21:53:55 GMT 1, Welcome to the forum kjg MBW usually 'signs' his work with a thumb print. I am with BKBOI on this one : Your best bet would be to email MBW and ask himself www.mrbrainwash.com/contact/contact.html

None of the early MBW prints have thumbprints. He started putting thumbprints on his prints in 2009.

My guess would be that those that answer these types of questions aren't working between Christmas and New Years. I'd suggest starting anew next week.

A real MBW, or not?, by 11 on Jan 8, 2016 18:58:08 GMT 1, Hi guys, After waiting for a whole year I still haven't got any answer from Mr. Brainswash or one of his companions. Anyone on the forum can help me with this piece of art? Where these prints, or stencilled pieces he was spraying up during the event? - I think thats what jusdeep was saying
edit: just to help people out a bit
It's probably more a question of whether anyone else has something similar from the event to be able to compare it against. If it was given out free, whether it is stencil or anything else, I don't think MBW will authenticate it. It's just a souvenir of the time and having seen how enthusiastic MBW gets when he has an audience, he would have been spraying them and handing them out all day long - fwiw the stencilled MBW tag could also be considered his 'signature' at that time (assuming its stencil)
I'd suggest you trawl the archives as there are a fair few threads, maybe do a search for brainwash and the cans festival to see if there are any pics of souvenirs of the show
