Flying copper, by bigp on Apr 20, 2013 17:24:35 GMT 1, Been offered a flying copper but it has 2 faint creases on the bottom(about an inch each).you can barely make them out if your stood back but none the less they are there.also there seems to be a quite a few faint scratches on the back bit as well. How much do you guys think this will effect the pricing of it. I forgot to take some picks of it so I can't post them.but any help I would be grateful.
Thanks

Flying copper, by Deleted on Apr 20, 2013 19:49:51 GMT 1, I think I was offered this same piece much much too high for a Damaged print ! It's u signed yeah? In defence of the seller these are printed on heavy paper and if rolled they crease very very easy ! Always ship flat ! Put it like this what would it fetch at auction? Answer: it wouldn't sell !!

I think this is wrong in several respects. Damaged prints often sell. Tge damage described sounds like it can easily be restored. Cant see any reason why such a print can't be sent rolled.

Cost of restoration can be built in to the price/negotiated on. No I'm not buying it. Don't have to be buying it to have an opinion. I am more than happy to be educated though. What is it about this particular print that makes it unrollabe, whereas others can be?

Flying copper, by Deleted on Apr 21, 2013 10:57:06 GMT 1, Hi Coach, sorry, The paper is like cardboard ! It's really thick thus as its rolled it creases also unless unrolled properly it also creases. It's better flat seriously, if you own one and want to send and keep mint don't roll! I was gutted when I got mine and it had creases all over which the seller said weren't there before he rolled . He gave me full refund but its not about the money, I wanted the print ! Hope this helps ?

Flying copper, by sohohoho on Apr 21, 2013 15:11:36 GMT 1, Hardly like cardboard. It's a big print so would probably crease if rolled into a Pringles tube but rolled into your typical 4" or 5" diameter fine art print tube, no problem.
