It is a photo of the over spray on her floor in the studio where she makes fold paintings. There will be a book of these photos coming out in about a year.

oh, it's from a show EARLIER this year, excuse me. It would be customary to throw the artist 10% on a flip this quick. Ill point DAL in the direction of this thread. I have no problem coming down on someone selling in less than a year. Poor form. And your "hottest in contemporary art" comment just exposes you for the opportunist you are. Everyone is a salesman. So sad.
How much was the Tauba Auerbach from source? Will you be giving 10% of any profit you make back to the artist?

Tauba Auerbach Screen Print, by artylang on Mar 11, 2013 14:35:37 GMT 1, Sure, Ill engage. The one gigantic difference and really the only one that matters is the fact that the quote your reference (and leave out the context) is in reference to an original painting and not an edition of 120 prints. You could even argue that it is far worse because Dal is so unproven and still working to make a name for himself, whereas Tauba has cemented her career already.
thank you for pointing that out so we could educate some of the newer members.

Just to be clear, I have no problem with the re-sale. Only with the seller's double standards.

The above does not directly answer either of the questions I posed. But I guess it can be inferred that the answer to my second question is "no".
I see no need to provide the full context of your quoted post for two reasons:
1) Nowhere in the thread where your post originally appeared do you argue that your invented "costumary" praxis of giving 10% of any profit made from a quick re-sale should apply only to original paintings and not editioned prints.
2) Anyone who is interested can find the full context of the quote by looking at your previous posts. This is of course assuming that you do not go back and edit or remove your posts, like you have done in the past when people have called you out on something.
As for the idea of educating newer members, please leave me out of your "we". As far as I can see, the only thing you have to teach people with this is the art of hypocrisy.

Tauba Auerbach Screen Print, by willnyc on Mar 15, 2013 6:56:15 GMT 1, Pelle,
Don't be offended:
I'm trying to understand why you insist on the seller to give back 10% to the artist? Has other who bought and resold other artist given back to theirs?
I was offered a Tauba recent woven work from a gallery that doesn't represent her but is good friends with Paula Cooper that does and they are asking 5x the retail price. I'm sure if they do sell the piece they are not going to give Tauba 10% of that sale.
The fold or the static print sold around this price range on the secondary market and they were cheaper I believe
I don't have an issue of what's going on here if someone wants this bad enough they will buy or make offer to seller.

If you look at the post by artylang which I quoted in my initial post, you will see that he suggested to another seller that it would be "customary" to give 10% back to an artist when making a profit by selling something on quickly. This "customary" praxis was invented by artylang, not me.
I am not insisting that he give 10% back to the artist. I am simply asking whether - after being critical of someone else who wanted to sell an artwork - he is going to live up to his own standards.
And as you can see from the post immediately above your own, his answer to this is "lol":
