'Seeing The Light', by Dan Kitchener on Dec 30, 2012 13:44:00 GMT 1, I NEVER digitally alter photos', getting frustrated with people asking me this!!!! It's TOTALLY DRAWN from scratch!!!!!!! I have shown how i paint these a while back, i open a photo reference on another monitor and then draw from this on my main screen from scratch, no tracing, no photo manipulation!!!
There would be absolutely no point in tracing or photo manipulation, no skill or no artistic merit or progression,

Dan, no offence was intended. I was so impressed with the piece you posted, I showed it to my lad. He was blowed away by it. He reckoned it must have started as a photo, I assured him it hadn't. To prove my point, I asked the question on your thread. I have always been very impressed with your work, and have said so on here many times. Apologies if my question caused you frustration.

'Seeing The Light', by Coach on Dec 30, 2012 14:25:23 GMT 1, Also, there was really no need to "prove" yourself by showing your progression in the next post. I wouldn't doubt what you said. Dan, please treat it as a complement that Seeing the Light is so good that the question even arose in the first place.

'Seeing The Light', by Dan Kitchener on Dec 30, 2012 14:46:31 GMT 1, No need to apologise, and sorry myself if i appeared annoyed! I just wanted to show people the process involved, I have had a few people assuming its a photo, or based on a photo, and where as this is a compliment in a way, i want to highlight the fact that these [paintings aren't manipulated photo's. Thanks for you're interest and continued support of my work Coach, much appreciated
