I concur, the Empire AP was priced at 2K are you sure it was that AP Link?

Trade with member in USA be WARNED , by wave on Oct 6, 2009 8:03:22 GMT 1, If you they (US) mark it up as a gift but insure it to full value, you will most likely get charged full import tax. If you don't insure it and declare value less than ยฃ30ish you'll probably be okay but it will be sqeaky bum time till it arrives. If its a small run canvas or limited edition run you may get away with only paying 5% tax. Does the person in the US know anyone travelling to UK so they could bring it? Bought my last two Banksys this way.

Faile fight vanity for sale $ 500 USD , by wave on Sept 23, 2009 17:44:13 GMT 1, I couldn't get my head round import duty liability / insurance, therefore I'm out - great piece at great price though.
I bought one of these from paper monster and got caught by customs during shipping.
Thankfully i only got charged 5% as i told them it had bits of hand finishing by the artist so each one was ever so slightly different (coffee stains etc). This is also a limited edition print (apparently) and not an open edition like most Faile so you shouldn't be paying full import duty.

I remember laughing hysterically at the composition in person at the show but couldn't justify the price. I entered the lottery because of the sentimental/nostalgic memory it would/will give me of being at that show. I was and still am floored at the artistic undertaking for Banksy vs. the Bristol museum. i do not normally collect prints and this will be the second one in my collection without any chance of leaving. I suspect that for many, this is a nice reminder of an event that took significant effort to attend in person and the reward was exponentially better than one could ever have hoped. It certainly has made a the few shows I've see since pale by comparison. That's not to suggest that a healthy number of the ~ 600 will not end up for sale. However, i believe there are a certain number that some may be underestimating will never be offered for sale for the reasons mentioned above. I also LOVE the thought of hanging this print above my guest bed in which my father in law, a now retired judge, will sleep beneath when he comes to visit. If you are right, that would be cool and a touching tribute to what looks like a great show BUT id say its likely that less than 10% of the UK based people that picked this up even bothered to go to the show. Id love to be wrong but im in a pessimistic mood  Within 1-2 months id say a lot of the people devoting there love to the piece on here will be looking to 'trade up' or finding some other way to avoid looking like they were trying to make a profit.
Taking my better half to see the show was definately a good move.
(How else could i persuade her to let me take so much money out of our savings )

Still looking people. Think the last ones on the bay were shilled up no end. That last strawberry hit 1300 after about a day so more than a bit suspect. I'm hanging in around 1400. Don't get me wrong i love the choccy too but prefer the pink after the show. TBH there are so many great potential future releases and you can't have them all eh so if nothing comes along, i may save up my money. Police running through the fields would be top on the wish list.

Banksy Bristol City Museum Show, by wave on Aug 23, 2009 12:35:30 GMT 1, My brother got there at 07:30 this morning. Apparently there were about 100 people ahead of him in the queue. One of the security people setting up the crowd control barriers told him that yesterday's queue was 7 hours??!! I think if anyone's going before it closes, you'll have to get there very early if you don't want to spend the day in the queue.
Yep was there yesterday. Queued for 5 and a half hours from 10.30. Obviously a sucker for punishment. Well worth it in the end but seriously thought it would move a bit quicker than that. Enjoyed a richly deserved few pints across the road afterwards.
