For Sale CYW SLATE Or Trade For A NOLA? ANYONE, by wave on Feb 14, 2011 14:35:52 GMT 1, Nola goes for less money so yes it's more than fair, CYW's Ed 25 are selling for 4k. White Nola sells at 3-3.5k last time I looked, IMO even No Ball Games is a better image than Nola and look where that's priced. CYW's are a collectors dream, numbered out of 25, deeper message, varied and vibrant. Ofcourse this is just my opinion
The last white Nola on the bay sold for 8.5k?? Not seen many go for 3-3.5 for a long while. Crazy prices

Nope. All money on these 58 all went to the charity. Mine was picked up by mfm today. Very happy. Sad if one of these is already on eBay.

NEW BANKSY 'Queue Jumping Grey' Choose Your Weapon, by wave on Dec 16, 2010 15:47:15 GMT 1, Bit dramatic seen as they never had it in the first place. If we dont see a single one flipped then well done POW for pleasing the fans but I really cant see that happening.
Ok rephrase, missed out on a print due to being pushed further back in the queue.
Agree. I really hope none of these get flipped too, I genuinely would like to think most landed in good hands.

NEW BANKSY 'Queue Jumping Grey' Choose Your Weapon, by wave on Dec 16, 2010 15:23:06 GMT 1, I emailed Saturday afternoon regarding me travelling down from Manchester and missing out due to the mass of pushing in, I also emailed again this morning when news of the newest edition was released this is the response i got from POW...... Iโm sorry but all the prints from the newest release have been allocated. The print allocations were based on eye witness statements taken at Commercial Street by a member of staff. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. -- Sales Team Pictures on Walls 46-48 Commercial Street London E1 6LT Missed out yet again........... Thats a shame because many of those moaning to simon in the morning had only just turned up!
Trying not to get dragged into this but sorry that's completely untrue. I can vouch for at least 6/7 of them chatting with Simon (forum members on here probably reading this) who definately queued all night and were robbed of a print.
Can you prove that you weren't part of the group that pushed in Saturday Morning? Lets leave it there eh

NEW BANKSY 'Queue Jumping Grey' Choose Your Weapon, by wave on Dec 16, 2010 10:47:59 GMT 1, shame on the people who were complaining because they was queue in the wrong place.
Queue in the wrong place? What are you on about. This is retribution for those who were robbed of a print by those that decided not to queue, turn up and force their way in on Saturday. Also those that ran to the front from the queue pushin people further back.

Banksy โข Choose Your Weapon Print, by wave on Dec 13, 2010 22:27:18 GMT 1, Just getting back to the art. The name of the print. The image. Everything that happened. It couldn't have been any more ironic and well...apt. I'm sure Banksy is genuinely disturbed by what happened but he must also be just a little bit amused by so called art imitating life.

Banksy โข Choose Your Weapon Print, by wave on Dec 12, 2010 17:06:25 GMT 1, So now it's my fault for buying a Banksy on the secondary? Is that what you are saying First off, that was meant as a general "you", not aimed solely at you. Secondly, to answer your question: Many of us have bought prints on the secondary market from other collectors or one-man galleries, and I don't necessarily see that as a problem. But if people pay over the odds for a bit of paper right after release, then obviously someone is going to move in on that market. So if you really have knowingly "filled these scumbags pockets to own half [your] collection", then it would stand to reason that you have indeed helped create their market, don't you think?
Okay thanks for clearing that up. I see your point. Would never buy directly after release. Stupidly overpriced on ebay right now. Much of my past buying has mostly been through some very genuine forum members and a long while after release. Just having a moan really as like many didn't want to have to yet again pay a fortune to get one on my walls.

Banksy โข Choose Your Weapon Print, by wave on Dec 12, 2010 16:37:42 GMT 1, Dodgy serial flippers basically. Over the years of collecting, i've filled these scumbags pockets to own half my collection If you've contributed to making them a tidy profit over the years, surely it isn't a surprise that they will come back for more, nor that they will start using harder means to make their profit as competition grows. Seems to me that those who choose to buy from flippers contribute as much to this development as the flippers themselves?

Banksy โข Choose Your Weapon Print, by wave on Dec 12, 2010 15:53:57 GMT 1, Just to back up Grafik.ย The frustration in the morning was voiced towards the bouncer. Bought on by 11 hours of queuing in the cold to then watch groups of people turning up in the morning and push directly to the front.ย Dodgy serial flippers basically. Over the years of collecting, i've filled these scumbags pockets to own half my collection and sure enough there they are now on ebay. I have a little kiddy now and certainly can't buy off the secondary any more.
Any right minded forum member who had just missed out would probably have behaved the same. Simon only got involved because he wanted to know what was going on and why we were upset with the security staff. It's very easy if you got a print to feel smug and sound off now but think how you would feel if it had been you. Many of those on eBay now would have found much more worthy homes.

Banksy โข Choose Your Weapon Print, by wave on Dec 11, 2010 20:40:21 GMT 1, does anyone know whats happening about the COA's? do we have to buy one this time? I don't see how they can send them out as they only had our name and postcode but no house number. its another letdown from POW if we have to pay for one after spending ยฃ450 on a print. I think i'm finished with POW to be honest. 90% of the stuff they sell is s**t and they really don't give a crap about their customers anymore.
Disagree, I think they are genuinely not happy about what happened

Banksy โข Choose Your Weapon Print, by wave on Dec 11, 2010 10:43:24 GMT 1, Not read any of the previous posts since I started queueing early last night. Just got home after a cold rough night and now completely utterly fucked off. Would easily have my Banksy now but for gangs of people who turned up to jump front of queue as they were handing out numbers and i narrowly missed out. Expressed my annoyance to Simon who was sincerely apologetic but feel completely destroyed by the experience. Sorry to the other forum guys who were in queue near me, Spanksy, Yapsey etc. Good luck in the lotto chaps!
