Banksy - German art magazine, by kjg on Sept 21, 2022 14:35:10 GMT 1, I have a few German art magazines that I would like to sell. The mags are called 'art - das Kunstmagazin' and they are the editions from April 2007. This edition has a 10 page story on Banksy with lots of pictures.
The magazine comes with a nice print too. This print, that was only available to subscribers, measures roughly 20x26 cm and depicts Banksy's 'Sunflower from Petrol Station'.
I really don't know what the value of this one is, and what to ask for it. Maybe 200 euro?
Anyway, I am open to deals. Please send me a PM if you are interested!

Recommended Art Books, by kjg on Sept 9, 2022 17:18:46 GMT 1, The newest addition to my artbook collection: 'Our Ideas' by Adam Pendleton. Published by Pace Gallery on the occasion of the exhibition 'Our Ideas' in Pace, London in 2018. A beautiful and very well-executed catalog, with a design by Dutch graphical designer Marc Hollenstein. Hollenstein has been working with Pendleton for years.
Unfortunately I didn't get to visit the exhibition, but luckily I had the chance to buy a signed copy of the book :-)

Which football team do you support?, by kjg on Sept 9, 2022 12:36:19 GMT 1, I am a big supporter of Dutch footballclub FC Twente. They compete in the Eredivisie (Dutch Premier League) and are currently in 5th place (4 won, 1 lost). I am looking forward to their away match against Feyenoord Rotterdam, on the 9th of October :-) A good friend used to play for Twente, Simon Cziommer, not sure if you are familiar with him. This was a couple of years ago but as far as I know he is still sometimes booked as a game analyst on TV whenever dutch teams play against German teams.

Part D, first video: Professor Gad Saad refers to assortative mating in evolutionary theory (in essence, birds of a feather flock together), which he describes as "very much the mechanism that drives mate choice". Cite two specific examples mentioned by him of assortative mating cues that people most assort on and, in one or more sentences for each, describe their effect or how they typically work in practice (as if explaining to someone hearing about the subject for the first time). Gad Saad mentions a few of those assertive mating cues. Two of those mating cues are exhibiting generosity and the way you dress. 1. Exhibiting generosity (or nuptial gift giving as Saad calls it): if you date a rich woman or a woman that is richer than you are and you show signs of cheapness during that date the chances of a second date with that woman are near zero. It is an important signal to a woman to show commitment by gifting her something that is costly. This is an example of a so-called Zahavian signal: for a signal to be honest it has to be costly. 2. The way you dress: the attire of a man has great effect on the likelihood of a woman saying yes to a date. The higher the status you are showing with your clothes, the higher the chance for a rendezvous with a woman. Because online communication is for the largest part non-verbal, applying Hanlonโs Razor is quite useful. For example when someone is rude or reacts curt to your WhatsApp messages, it doesnโt have to be because the recipient doesnโt like you. It could just be that he or she is tired, is having a bad day or just busy with something (or someone) else.
Remember: stop thinking that everything refers to you!

I was there on July 1st and I booked a ticket in advance. Although it was only the first week of the show it was fairly quiet at the museum. So the advanced booking wasnโt really necessary. |

So cheaper than online, plus you can buy singles. Also some nice Maya Hayuk and Boris Tellegen postcards if you take a closer look, and the show flyers that fold out like a poster. Expo itself was pretty empty, so plenty of time to take a look. It's across 4 floors (although a floor only takes 10 to 15 min or so I would say) and you can access the rooftop, which has a new street piece installed. All in all well worth a visit was anyone able to order and ship to nyc. i never could kept saying it didnt ship to my area or region i think

At Mima, the cafe and the museum shop are in one room. When I had a coffee after seeing the show, I watched the crew. They were processing the orders and packing the posters on the other side of shop. They all looked quite professional and dedicated.
