I bagged this commission piece on wood a few weeks ago, which is larger than the regular edition (it measures 80 x 80 cm, the regular is 40 x 40 cm). I really, really like it and in my humble opinion Mobstr's pieces works very well both outside & in.

Had loads of PMs over the past couple of days thanking me for finding the open edition canvas. It is nothing to do with me, mobstr has been posted on here before.. It's just that he had no work for sale.

He was first brought up when banksy did these two rip offs on him.






Im not going to keep bleating on about stuff, you can make your own mind up. This thread is for any new mobstr work or releases. Looking forward to seeing whats next, im guessing he might be busy for a fair few weeks ;D

I've been following Mobstr's stuff for a while now (even mentioned his print back in Sept - urbanartassociation.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=urbanart&thread=87350&page=1), and I was just waiting for this kind of discussion to start here..

I totally understand both parties here, but what you're both missing is the fact that Mobster's work isn't presented as a high end art, something that is incredible special or unique, or something that should be appreciated as a work of art in the 1st place.. he's not releasing his work through big galleries, having PR team hyping anything about him, having celebrity collectors, or doing ANY of that stuff (or at least I never got that feeling).. the way I see it, he's a guy that has quite few funny/clever ideas, and he's got the balls/time/skills to turn them into reality for other people to enjoy.. nothing that's meant to be breathtaking or groundbreaking, so let's not try to label it as such, or claim that it isn't...

Undiscussable (?) and yet here we are discussing. Mobstr makes some pertinent points about society,about the nature of art, about the way we live I'll happily discuss his work and points he's making. No he's not original but who is? Is he trying to sell his creativity to the highest bidder? No. Is he wild style ? No. (now thats a whole other discussion of blandness!). He's just one man saying something and selling a few pieces cheaply.
