I like this painting, but the history of it is fairly interesting.

You bought it from a charity shop a year ago after enquiring how much it might be worth. After purchasing it, you again asked how much it might be worth. You then entered it in an auction unsuccessfully. In March you tried to sell it for £250, and now you're asking £300. I have also seen this painting listed on Gumtree in Bristol.

I can't help wondering if the painting has a particularly pungent smell, as those who own it seem immediately keen to be rid of it. I hope you manage to find a buyer though as to me it's rather nice.

Yes it's a fair breakdown of where I'm at.....

so since buying from the charity shop it has ever only belonged to me....

So I buy and sell mostly vintage and retro and anything unusual, hence my purchase of this..... and I've always been ambivalent about how much I should ask.... Sometimes I feel like - just get your money back, and then I look on Lee Elis's website which motivates me to be more patient and ask for an amount which will give me a profit.....  so I thought I would try again at £300.....

Yeah, I have a feeling we'll all be doing more of this. I hope circumstances improve for artists, regarding shows and that. You came across very well, and it's always nice to "meet" the artist behind the art.
