Yupp. Fika with the swedish wife is certainly a highlight of the week.

I seriously considered picking one up because like you said they look great and are actually something of hers I can afford. I do understand the concept of recycling and all involved with it. It just got me thinking about what makes abstract expressionism more than just throwing paint and it resulting in a random ‘work of art’ and I feel that that would be intent. If there is no intended design behind it, no general outcome that is being strived for, it isn’t anything anyone else couldn’t do, just a result of random chance and the technique being used.

In this case we get to see those ‘left overs’ the ‘waste’. And to much pleasure they are incredible as well. To me this is a true sign of a great artist.
That’s why being able to visit an artists studio can be such a delight. You get a glimpse into the process and the production. Luckily Instagram and technology has allowed this to be a little more accessible.
I’d be weary of an artist who has an idea for a work, goes in works on one canvas and that’s it.
