It’s taken a whole bunch of work over a period of two years but I’m finally able to announce the launch of the second my dog sighs custom umbrella.
Built in the UK, this high quality golf umbrella features full colour sublimation printed design and measures 98cm in length and 126cm diameter.
If ordered before 10th December I can guarantee Christmas delivery (uk). If ordering from outside the UK I’ll do my very best to get it there in time for Christmas.

Each umbrella comes with a signed and stamped tag and will be sent in a sturdy card tube.

The last edition of 200 sold out pretty instantly so I have increased this edition to 300.

So, clearing out the last of my (ex) wife’s stuff, I found a tube buried in her wardrobe. With a birthday card to me lol! Although I love the print, it won’t make the wall. So I’m putting it here before the bay.

It it has some marks on the back of the print. As I’m not going to make them secret, they are shown in photos too.

A quick google has shown that it was £195 on release. No price in mind due to said marks. But sensible offers only please. Thank you ☺️

Digital vision is indeed a digital image not a physical print

The Ethereum Blockchain Network allows the creation of Bespoke Blockchain tokens.

These tokens are limited in supply,and when linked to items such as digital images can be used to track and authenticate ownership.

In this case We created a limited number( 100) of these tokens which were then linked to the 'digital Vision' image supplied by My Dog Sighs

With the image attached, these tokens take on the properties of a digital certificate of authenticity, otherwise known as a Token Of Authenticity or T.O.A.

As for displaying the Image, at this time, the tokenized works can only viewed where it is stored - either on a PC or smartphone.

At this point in time, we see it as an entry level collectable for the fans of the artist.

And whilst it can be only be currently viewed on a PC and smartphone there are some really nice digital displays now becoming available such as the meural.netgear.com

As part of our roadmap we plan to create 3d viewing areas such as this

Another interesting application is that due to its unforgeable digital nature of the token, it can  be used as an exclusive item  in another application ( such as a video game) or as key to unlock certain parts of an application or website.

IMO, Art and Technology walk in lockstep - and the above is a really interesting example of that.

The Digital Vision token is compatible with the Ethereum ERC721 token standard, a worldwide standard recognized by many Ethereum wallets and marketplaces. This means your Artwork is owned, exists, and can be used and traded outside of the Rendar application, and will continue to function and retain value even if Rendar.org stopped its operations.

There are many marketplaces for blockchain collectables, the biggest being opensea.io/

The next stage our our development includes creating a marketplace and owner network  where you can securely trade your artworks with other collectors

Yes the image can be screen shot, but its the associated blockchain token that allows value to accrue in the on associated original image.
Just as a paper certificate of authenticity dosn't stop a screen print being copied, a blockchain token only proves ownership and dosn't protect the image.
Its an interesting point though - you can buy thousands of pictures of a banksy on ebay - does this have a detrimental effect on the price of an original?

Maybe I’m seeing it wrong, but to me it sort of feels more like buying shares in the image, rather than buying art. A bit like an investment with a share certificate, and rights to view your investment on your digital devices 😕
I can’t really see this taking off, sorry.

I'm excited to see this as it combines my two passions ,Urban art and Blockchain technology.
This is quite a difficult concept to grasp as you will purchase a ltd ed virtual image not a physical one ,I personally believe this will be the future .
There are many collectable images already on the Blockchain but as far is I know the most successful one is Crypto Kitties ,where a Crypto Kittie image was sold for $170,000 .
Perhaps Rendar can enlighten me but I haven't seen any ltd ed images of Urban art available on the Blockchain ,so this maybe the first ever.

Wish you guys all the luck and I will be purchasing myself one.

I remember a site that released ltd edt digital prints by Damien Hirst ,Tracey Emins and Shepherd Fairey amongst others . Does anyone else remember the name of the site ?
