Zero Cool Gallery and Red Bull have teamed together to bring Brazilian artist Cranio to the UK for his first ever solo show. The exhibition titled Lost in London will open on the 15th of November 2012 at Red Bull Studios London and will showcase his latest body of work which sees his characters much like himself venture into London for the first time... interacting with its people and places.

Fabio Oliveira, better known as Cranio was born in 1982 and grew up in the north of Sao Paulo and it was in 1998 that Cranio began to cover the gray walls that surrounded his everyday life. The Indians were born after he looked to find a character that could show the indigenous people from Brazil.

When asked the meaning of his art... “It’s just the picture of my life. My main influences are the things I see, hear and live. Lots of things are happening all the time, bad and good. I want to show things that are happening with the indigenous people living in Brazil in my art. Some of them are trying to adapt; others have adapted really well to capitalism; others are trying to sell the Brazilian rainforest to grab some money and a cool iPhone.” His characters are always placed in humorous and curious situations and they are created to provoke the observer into thinking about contemporary issues like consumerism, identity, corruption and the environment.

don't think it's gonna happen, artists like os gemeos are unique, and it is useless to look for a new one. But for sure he has a great talent, and a very personal vision, so i can't wait to see more from him

totally agree. OS is a once in a life-timer. However, this guy does seem talented. I would like to see some movement from his couple regular character and a bit more development in some other ones.
