Definitely an Andy Warhol nod with the Space Cowboy canvas on the left.
Warhol's Elvis pieces were both the inspiration and a source image for Blek le Rat's self-portrait:
My guess is that Elvis may also have influenced a 1977 photo shoot with Hans Solo:

Shepard Fairey, CASH4, Skewville, BAST, Dain, Gaia and Faile.
Sweet Toof, City Kitty, Stikman, Lunge Box, Rx Skulls, BAST, Cash4, One_Tooth and Robots Will Kill.

Had a whole apes theme but brought it up for my selfframepainted D*Face sticker project.
