You have to trawl down a little way to see snaps of the earlier stages but it's well worth doing so. My absolute favourite posts in this section relate to this house. Amazing project, really brave and superbly executed. Interesting to read how the neighbours hated it and all tried to stop it. Wonder what they think now that it's built?
Definitely going to watch the Grand Designs episode on Wednesday!

I know however that episode looks at a few houses considered for House of the Year; I was wondering if there was one in the past specifically on the project.

You know what they say about people in glass houses ...
they grow massive cucumbers

Looks super amazing! Like the switch on the cephalopods arm. One more suggestion and same made above...change out that light switch cover to be more background ..close to wall color. But truly great! That seen is amazing

We had a similar problem at mine when we took down three walls the floors were all different levels. There was also no damp course so we had a dpm laid before having the whole downstairs floor concrete screeded
That’s a long piece of steel! are you having some work done at yours? 6.45 meters to be exact ! Yes renovating an old stone cottage in which nothing is straight or square today's shopping ready to tile the floor as after I had removed a dividing wall the floor is 2 different levels

Im in the same boat. In fact I spent some of this afternoon priming two 6m steels.
At least your stonework looks in decent shape - I’m having to rake out all the crappy cement to repoint with lime.

Inside Art Collectors Homes, by k2 on Dec 15, 2019 0:16:01 GMT 1, Big job ! That fireplace is going to look stunning awesome space you got there Yeah it's certainly quite a job. Everything back to nothing then slowly building it back up again.
And it might not be obvious, but it should actually two floors. The floorboards / joists are out at the moment, I'm not living in a church.
Nice to see someone a little further along the process though - your place is looking really good. Hard work, but rewarding.

We parked in this street last night, pricey houses! Check out this video for ‘Laurent’, it just sold for a few million dollars and not sure if the lady came with the house 😉 I’d say the art is expensive also although not recognisable to me..

awesome renovation project, mate! we are in the final stage of our renovation that has ruined our nerves since mid April 2019...having said that it is very rewarding looking at before/after pictures. can't wait to move in and destroy the perfect new walls by hanging our artworks

Inside Art Collectors Homes, by Charlesworth on Dec 30, 2019 13:08:16 GMT 1, Cheers @sircoxon it’s was pretty stressful but now we’re back home it’s been so worth it. It was horrible the first time I had to drill the freshly plastered and painted walls but adding artwork really finishes off the rooms. I’d love to see a few pics of your renovations once you’re finished.
