How much will I need to pay for a signed Morons?, by RBK on Apr 2, 2007 21:29:48 GMT 1, The auction is still going - and who knows if this joker actually even gets his print - there can't be many going to Richmond, Indiana!

How much will I need to pay for a signed Morons?, by dkla on Apr 2, 2007 22:59:39 GMT 1, I would think the Morons Sepia version would be worth more than all of the signed LA prints so far (and maybe some of Banksy's older prints with large edition #s in a year or so) -- it's the smallest edition. There are only 300 Morons Sepia in total -- no unsigned versions. It doesn't matter that there is a different b/w colorway with both signed and unsigned versions. Morons Sepia is a stand-alone work and thus will likely be considered more valuable (i.e., somebody else can't have a less expensive unsigned version of the piece on their walls because it doesn't exist).

Interesting perspective and legitimate points... of course I like the idea because I managed a Sepia in the frenzy!

How much will I need to pay for a signed Morons?, by pezlow on Apr 3, 2007 13:26:32 GMT 1, First of many. Hold your horses anyone who wants to buy one. There should be a price drop once more start to hit the bay. But it does look like I was being hopelessly optimistic in my previous posts.

I cannot belive these pricks are selling without even having the print. If you read this POW, alot of people that buy your prints do so to have on our wall. 3000 is alot to anyone, but I really feel that if you are indeed buying to sell, hold on for a wee while, cause in 5 years god knows what it'll be worth! I cannot wait to get mine next to my Applause. Oi Oi

How much will I need to pay for a signed Morons?, by monkeypuzzle on Apr 3, 2007 20:25:45 GMT 1, £2613??? Fukk that. I mean, it's not as though you won't be able to live if you don't have a Moron hanging on your wall. Will ya? There are more important things than a crap print in an edition of 950. Right? But I'm sure people will pay. You cant say fairer than that.

How much will I need to pay for a signed Morons?, by ABC on Apr 3, 2007 20:50:13 GMT 1, As usual the first few always go for a higher price, wait a while and the Bay will be flooded. I hope they drop after the baggers have offloaded then once clear from the bay they will rise again. I still think that they will go for just short of 3k though, going rate for signed now - apart from j& j and some rats which are a little lower.

How much will I need to pay for a signed Morons?, by tomhills1 on Apr 3, 2007 20:50:15 GMT 1, i think £2613 was BH's pedantic riposte to the whole guessing game of what these morons will sell for. i actually think it will be higher, so when you consider what you said it is actually more shocking!!
love that point about paying, say, £3k for a print that is worth....... £3k. i genuinely prefer the unsigned white one and that is down to it being the version that was posted on the banksy website after the sotheby's auction.

How much will I need to pay for a signed Morons?, by wildbill on Apr 4, 2007 2:10:10 GMT 1, Tad is on point!
if you want to snag a Sepia for under 3k you might be able to within the first month of them being delivered assuming that eBay gets flooded. After that its doubtful.
Its fascinating how powerful eBay's influence is in dicatating the market price.
