Love the gold edition, (massive price though) I feel the exact opposite for the cloloured edition.

box set is £2500 with 14 prints, edition of 20, which means ~£178 each print.
the "Olympic Rings" are an edition of 50 and priced £275.
I have to admit that the boxset seems well priced... or the "Olympic Rings" is overpriced? ;D

I believe the gold Olympic rings is just the portfolio cover (which is screen printed)...it comes with the coloured rings print inside the set.

A very nice portfolio for a Zevs collector...and fairly priced IMO considering recent prices from Laz.

I agree with this, nothing at all to do with Art but more money in the till IMO.

The only problem with buying box sets or portfolios, is that, in order to maintain its desirability and hence value, you can never really frame the prints...they just end up sitting in the lovely portfolio box with all packaging carefully left in place, just in case you want to sell it in the future.
The only caveat to this is if the artist is in such high demand that it justifies breaking up the portfolio...as is done by professional art dealers. Thoughts anyone?

Difficult decision. One can have to much Zevs... How many liquidated logos do people need. 50/50 on this one at the moment.

It is absolutely expected for artists to critique current affairs and deliver an alternative commentary to the party line (in this case the IOC and LOCOG party line)...This piece just about manages the former (as we can reference this image in context of his previously successful 2009 solo show); but I still find that this release is more an exercise in cashing in, rather than, offering us something more insightful. Without something "challenging" could one call this graphic design rather than art?

Once the Olympics is over, where do you think this image will rank amongst Zevs' body of work?

The boxed set is nice but why the hell is one of them landscape? Seems like a poor choice. Kind of kills the whole set and the potential of displaying them without them looking a tad odd.

So many issues with this stuff....when you see your first liquidated you can be excused for thinking yh, quite like this. After seeing god knows how many different logos all done in the same style I can't help feeling its just flogging a dead horse. Nearly bought the liquidated LV a while back but so glad I didn't. It wouldn't be so bad if the work had 'natural' runs all over it but this is just all too clean and, dare I say it....photoshopped. I just see this stuff now and think ...meh

Saves me a shitload of money.

I'm sure they don't. I remember Louis Vuitton had the liquidated LV banned from any public appearances or sales.

Otherwise, I like the boxset. It seems to be at a fair price. £180 a print seems fair.
