FS: Open Edition Soup Can w/ Receipt, by bonesy on May 26, 2011 18:29:48 GMT 1, I just ran across my 2006 POW receipt for the open edition Soup Can, there cant be many of these around with a receipt. If anyone is interested I'll let one go for $400 shipped worldwide. I'll include a copy of my POW receipt proving purchase.

FS: Open Edition Soup Can w/ Receipt, by Deleted on May 26, 2011 19:53:18 GMT 1, My nephew's got one as he got it for a birthday pressie - still in its original tube.
Interesting terminology, that you'll let 'one' go for $400 with a copy of the receipt rather than the original receipt? Why's that - just curious?

FS: Open Edition Soup Can w/ Receipt, by bonesy on May 26, 2011 20:24:34 GMT 1, If I let the original receipt go I would no longer have a receipt for my other 4 Soup Cans (or 5 Keep Left stickers). Even a copy should assure the buyer they're getting the real deal.
It is a bit steep, but I'm offering assurance that the others do not. Im obviously happy to hold onto them, as I've done so for the past 5 years.

Why would a copy of a receipt assure the buyer they are getting the real deal? I don't see the connection.

FS: Open Edition Soup Can w/ Receipt, by bonesy on May 26, 2011 20:51:40 GMT 1, Seeing my name on a receipt for purchased Soup Can prints from POW in 2006 is pretty good evidence that you're getting legit prints from me, or at the least better evidence than you're going to get elsewhere.

Very true - any purchaser would get bugger all evidence elsewhere of any kind of authenticity.

Still don't see it. It shows that you bought 1 or 5 but I'm sure every fake started from an original. If someone is willing to copy a poster I'm sure copying a receipt would be a no brainer.
Oh well.

Scenario A- My Soup Can print with evidence that I am an original owner from 2006. Scenario B- A Soup Can print.
You would really have no preference for Scenario A?

Not much difference to me. Faking a copy of a receipt and putting any name on it would be super easy. Don't get me wrong I don't think yours are fake. I would think since you have been a long contributing member here that your reputation would be good enough for me.
