Have been working on these wooden hands for the past few months. They are acrylic painted on wood and finished with a gloss varnish. Was thinking of selling them...would love some feedback and ideas on how much you would pay for them? Joe

Yes mate your correct, he did and I recall a member here selling the original before all the hype, there was a sales thread for it, maybe before the seppuka release, real nice original for a decent price.

A similar piece, Icarus, was also completed outdoors by Pejac in 2015 in Seoul, South Korea:

Check out this big boy! It's from late 2015 in Atlanta GA and is 14ft wide.

The owner of the building was very pissed.

You can see in the picture, that I caught them in the middle of removing the work.
I still had a conscience at the time and felt bad enough to offer to pay for half the clean up cost.

The owner replied saying I should pay all of it, so I gave him a good old fashioned "lol" and instead he got nothing.

I'm not exactly sure what the moral of the story is, but I dont make those kinds of offers anymore. Maybe next time I'll send an invoice for services rendered instead.

Also, he told me i could never be a criminal and be famous, but i have over 100 instagram followers, so i guess i got the last laugh.







And here is the 2nd iteration of the same image. This one was done in late 2016 in East Los Angeles.

I was homeless and living under the 10. I happened to meet a guy at a concert who rented me a wall in his shared garage, so that i could paint. I would spend 6+ hours painting a day and every night i would go back to my comfy bridge.

I survived off eating three $1 taco bell burritos every day, but i had my priorities straight and i always made sure i could paint.

When i tried to paste this one in downtown LA i got stopped by the police twice and had to throw it in the bin.

It's about time i go for round 3 with this image. It'll be interesting to compare them as time goes on.

Figured I would join the Post-Your-Own-Work-Party. Here's the behind the scenes for a series I did.

- Photoshoot with my cities ballet company.


- Creating a geometric pattern that can utilize a limited color pallet.


- Final digital image. 



- Cutout silhouette from Sheet Aluminum.


- Prime and gesso aluminum.


- Redraw points and the pattern on the canvas.


- Finally start color mixing and painting.



- Make brackets for the back and Ta-dah, Finished! (the contract is too high on this photo, but its the only one I have at hand.)





The final show had these three paintings and 6 or so additional prints from the digital works. Opening night/Arts festival night, some of the dancers from the company came out and performed in front of the pieces.
