What prints do you have?, by numusic on May 28, 2006 15:38:31 GMT 1, i reckon where the seller went wrong (and please no offence if he is reading this!) is the £200 opening bid put people off..so no none bid for ages...then thursday night you started bidding and the sale ended at a very bad time for the seller..i.e. 4p.m. on friday! i.e. when people are at work and planning to go out on the piss...so basically there was only one day of bidding on the item and it was a friday!..so you had everything going for you on that one... i could see you were going to get a great deal but had to tear myself away from the computer, because i have spent far too much on banksy's lately and sooner or later you have to draw the line.... but boy i had a terrible urge to snipe you on that one!!! it will be a long time befor a signed monkey queen goes for that price again!
Dill, you made my day ;D ;D ;D cheers !

What prints do you have?, by gm on Jun 17, 2006 23:19:08 GMT 1, POW's the best, definitely. Unfortunately they only have Soup Can Posters at the mo.
If you can wait til December and can get there, Santa's Ghetto's always worth a visit. But Santa's Ghetto *is* POW, innit?
I think most of the people on here started buying before Banksy was widely known, and before the prices went completely silly.

What prints do you have?, by saffa on Sept 8, 2006 21:56:06 GMT 1, do anyone have a signed pulp fiction or jack and jill they woud like to sell? just started my Banksy collection.
can't wait to get back to SA with my collection (one day) and hang them in my future house! Don't think many people back in SA know of Banksy. Might get some strange looks when people come around! ha ha ha...

What prints do you have?, by mido on Sept 11, 2006 23:50:57 GMT 1, that is a very tall order - even unsigned ones rarely turn up on ebay.
try ebay and some galleries.... that's about all I can suggest

What prints do you have?, by jerikr on Sept 12, 2006 1:52:25 GMT 1, Thanks for the responses, that's good to know it was a tough ask. One follow on question that I hope is appropriate for this thread: I'm used to owning signed prints from arists like Shepard Fairey (Obey Giant), what gives with all these unsigned but numbered prints? In other words, I take it they are pretty darn collectible as well (so I shouldn't scoff at them)?

What prints do you have?, by mido on Sept 12, 2006 12:00:14 GMT 1, They are very collectable if sold out. However, there are several POW prints (for example) that may never sell out. As usual, the advice is buy what you really like.
Banksy has always done it this way. One reason I guess is to make the unsigned ones even more affordable to the general(ish) public (they started off at about £30 unsigned I think, rising to £75 over the years). Some POW prints are still as cheap at £25.
When I get so mad with the whole Obey ordering saga, I try to also remember just how cheap his stuff is ($30, signed/numbered editions of 300). and how many prints he does.
