Soup Can posters, by Gurn on Jan 18, 2008 19:56:50 GMT 1, I might be completely wrong on this but I think that ebay recently started automatically showing all art listings on .com as well as co.uk and this has coincided with the upturn in prices...just a theory...IMO they will be back on POW when it reopens

Soup Can posters, by otomi on Jan 18, 2008 19:57:38 GMT 1, His early canveses were 400 now 50000 or more - that is 12500%. I have also seen the posters for more than 150pounds. How many of these did they make?

I would like to see a different image as a poster. There could be more than 1 banksy for 9.99.

Soup Can posters, by octopusuk on Jan 18, 2008 20:02:28 GMT 1, I bought one about a year ago, but they were on the site recently. 400% in 2 months?
If they get too expensive, someone could produce counterfeit copies I guess, and there is no way to distinguish the two.

Soup Can posters, by buddings on Jan 18, 2008 20:50:22 GMT 1, funny if it was actually a run of only 500 and they just wanted to see if people only bought banksy prints because of value over image

I would not be supprised To me that seems to be what D*Face/POW did with the "Airbourne Cavalry" and "All City Raiders" prints

If that was their intention, they probably didn't choose the best image, IMO.....a poster, not signed or numbered, of say Barcode or Happy Choppers, Christ with Shopping Bag....would have flown outta POW in no time flat.....

Soup Can posters, by otomi on Jan 19, 2008 1:30:05 GMT 1, Not too long ago there was a thread about the poster (can't find it now) it said something about edition of 1000 - can't find the poster in the section at the bottom where it should be

Soup Can posters, by otomi on Jan 19, 2008 1:46:00 GMT 1, don't we have connections here - we should be able to find out the print run as long as POW knows

Soup Can posters, by otomi on Jan 19, 2008 2:19:58 GMT 1, no I read that but I thought we could confirm a number - the threat mentions 500/1000/x times 1000
500 would be crazy - more limited than most prints

Soup Can posters, by andrewd on Jan 19, 2008 20:38:59 GMT 1, Not so many months ago someone on this forum asked the question of Pow how many of the SoupCan posters they had sold, the answer came back as something like 38. If that's true there ain't very many of them unless they sold quick when everything else by Banksy was sold out by POW.

Soup Can posters, by octopusuk on Jan 19, 2008 21:13:45 GMT 1, Surely POW printed 100's of these in one go? If they have only sold 38, they have a lot left in stock.
I've just gone back to the ebay item - it sold for £166 (and there is a now a BIN one for £80!)

Soup Can posters, by buddings on Jan 19, 2008 21:43:06 GMT 1, so glad i bought one. why pay thousands for the single soupcan when you could get that one for a tenner? it makes no sense at all. basically just paying for the sig i guess.
if it did turn out that the print was an edition of say 300 i sure hope the blu-tac hasn't stained it haha.
