banksy stop and search on the up?, by redfred on Mar 8, 2008 13:04:19 GMT 1, When this print was released I was ridiculed for comparing this to his all time greats although not seriously expecting it reach these heights I still believe it is the best thing he has done for a long time and is typical of his more refined style, prices are now indicating this and anybody who has one should consider themselves very lucky bearing in mind there are only 500 compared to some of his older, larger releases!

The fact that it was a 'new' image not another from the LA series and its low edition size and the fact that there are not diff editions, colours, signed/unsigned etc I reckon this will be one of the most collectable
Really want festival soon though!

I have been lucky enough to get the collour trolleys and Stop and Search at cost, and now realising that the next print will end up being very expensive from the bay as I doubt my luck will stretch to 3 in a row from POW...

Like you I was lucky as well with those two. I prefer Trolleys but nearly everyone else who has seen them prefers Stop and Search.

I think the three of us were some of the only ones who said we really liked it on release. Mine is framed and on the wall and I look at it every day.

easter is a festival.
i would prefer to see more seating downstairs next.
