Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by andrewd on Nov 23, 2006 21:37:37 GMT 1, A well framed Hate looks remarkable as anyone who saw the Fopp exhibition in Tottenham Court Road ( or in Bath where I understand it is now. ) In the exhibition a black frame was used to recess the prints with a border of about an inch of black wood standing out from the frame ( i.e. the frame looked like a box with low sides ) What also made the prints loook so good was displaying all of the colourways together but say 4 or 6 of them together would look amazing. For those of you with money to burn the Coskun gallery has prints from the original Robert Indiana, Love print. I think the are about £100,000 each. www.coskunfineart.com, they are just across the road from the gallery showing Banksy stuff on Walton Street Knightsbridge.

My one and only Banksy Screenprint. (and the way prices are nowadays - it'll probably stay that way unless I luck out in the next POW Lottery lol)
Currently waiting to move into my new place, so its not hanging up and spends most of its time wrapped in Bubblewrap and print side facing a wall in the spare room

Yeah - be nice to actually have it somewhere where I can see it - I'll post some better pics when I've got it hanging up.

You've got only one print, but it's a relatively early work, which I'm sure quite a lot of us are thoroughly impressed with nonetheless Nice!!

Thanks
I love it - the pictures of any of these prints just dont do them justice, it looks fantastic up close in real life.
Only thing is I bought it already framed from Tom Tom a few years ago - Its a Neilsen frame (I opened the frame up for the first time recently just to check its ok - it Is ) - but Im starting to think it needs to be properly framed to ensure it stays in good condition.
Can anyone recommend a framers in Essex?

Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by CR on Nov 29, 2006 18:39:58 GMT 1, I know this isn't a Banksy, hope you don't mind me posting it here but thought you may like to see it. This was made from a photograph I took of some graffiti in Barcelona, it's a huge (60" X 37") large format ink jet print (or Giclee if you want to sound all arty) mounted on board and laminated. Has anyone seen this or know anything about the artist? on the barrel of the gun it say's Reza Lo Que Sepas which translated means something along the lines of, pray that you know (e.g could mean, you're going to die, say your prayers)
is this what your looking for maybe?

Sorry gm, forgot to answer this. The framing was £110 in Sweden. I have no idea if thats a good price in the UK.

Another great suggestion from my framer, IMO ;D I love the color of the mat, and especially the frame - it's brand new, but weathered to make it look aged. Thought it goes quite nicely with the bastardized nature of the image

I'm quite happy that I got a good price on it... only £600 Well, it's anything but cheap, but relatively speaking, it kinda is. At least, that's how I convince myself everyday.

Thanks cor!! ;D I'm really liking my framer. Looks like he really knows his stuff! But he's really charging me 3 times as much for the Applause, though... it's sinful to spend £220 on a frame... when it could go to more prints!!! ;D
