Purchased this Ed Ruscha 1970 work from a small auction house in September. Took a punt as it was wrecked.

It hadn’t been out of the frame for 50 years and was torn and stained. Had it professionally restored and repaired and framed to the spec Ed/ gallerist provided via Gagosian when I reached out. It’s museum standard glass and floated with a very small border in an untreated light maple moulding.

Turned out well

Always use Richard at artworks conservation near Harrogate 

He’s a wizard and an utterly nice person too

top notch work and he’s used to doing lots of tough restoration for museums and institutions 

really good framer too for those up North looking for an alternative
