Your latest Art Purchase?, by lesroy on Nov 15, 2006 22:15:30 GMT 1, Thanx Senna,
Those pics are lovely! That long version is sooo much nicer than the original, the wide image and the large amounts of black really set it off
If you're ever bored of it...you let me know

I can make you one any size or shape you like.. in fact, you could pretty much buy any banksy stencil and make your own... which is what this is, buy a 5 quid stencil on ebay and make numorous versions until you get the one you really like

nah - it's still a quality screenprint. can't just knock that up in the shed [unless your shed has a screenprinters in it I suppose]
On a related note, I prefer the green backdoor W-S-M's to the grey & think it would also look good in blue ;D

Your latest Art Purchase?, by lesroy on Nov 16, 2006 10:46:02 GMT 1, Yes Notile... it was printed in Birmingham before POW started printing the stuff.... hence its perfect quality, the exact same paper and inks etc.... not quite the home job Numusic states it is...
Id rather have that than a "normal" pulp fiction as I have what I like not what is worth more...

Fair enough if you're collecting posters, I agree, I think it's a much better composition than the original. But who am I, or for the matter, who the hell are the printers, that think they can reinterpret an artists work by changing it. I'm sure the sickly soup cans would look better in nicer colours, but it's not what the artist intended right ?

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Aza on Nov 16, 2006 16:59:41 GMT 1, Hi everyone (my first post)
Photos are a bit crap... The same frame has been used for both.
Also the middle Cauty print has slipped down this week! What a cheek considering the price they charged...now I have to get the beast back to the framing shop

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Aza on Nov 16, 2006 19:12:28 GMT 1, Cheers guys. What do you think of the frame? (although the photo is pretty poor) I like the distressed wood as it kinda represents the crucifix. Or maybe not

Hi Curley
They are the big prints... I just noticed this though:
www.cnpdonline.com/prints/5-11_final.html
However it has been deleted after less than 2 weeks!! Would have liked to have that framed up with the others

Your latest Art Purchase?, by mido on Nov 16, 2006 21:13:57 GMT 1, they must be the signed editions, judging from how small the CNPD stamps look and that I can see signatures...
which means that frame is one hell of a big bugger!
love the accidental placement of the flash in the place where the explosion into 'big ben' is! ;D

Your latest Art Purchase?, by mido on Nov 16, 2006 21:22:01 GMT 1, They haven't published the numbers sold yet but the signed edition probably sold out (I know that when I got mine The Aquarium told me they were selling fast) - therefore there will be a decent supply of them around (it was an edition of 51).
A lot have gone into the hands of pseudo-dealers; Jimmy's work is increasingly being bought up and sold on immediately. So they'll be on ebay soon. I imagine aza could pick one up to finish off the collection ;D
