My feeling is it's easier to sell art which has a socialist message regardless of the artists or galleries personal views.
Very true! I think much of the time the messages behind art are very different than the artists actual views, but they know what buttons to press with people and build up the socialist, rebellious image as that's what many collectors expect.
I tend to agree, it's very easy to make images of protestors and stuff whilst at the same time making art for people who invest in companies involved in the arms trade etc.
Plus there is no difference between the people who call them selves socialists and capitalists these days. They are both opportunists who exploit others and cover up the truth.
Political correctness is used by some to hide the facts.
Regarding the very beautiful with a message JBoy print. My view is JBoy art is just a natural progression, evolution of Banks y's money making image making ethics.

Do you mean if an artist supports and sponsors this site, it's means they get bombarded with abuse by some member? Yeah, that's probably true.
To be fair though, there are lots of artists that don't participate on here that still take flak from members regarding their artwork.
And as for advertisers, I don't think Skippy has received any abuse? ...........yet.
People are people. They hold up the things they admire and tear down and piss on the things they don't.
Artists have had to endure criticism since the first bison was drawn on a cave wall. No conspiracy. No market manipulation. Just opinion. Sometimes overenthusiastic. Sometimes unnecessarily personal. Which I think is pointless and unhelpful. But it's just opinion.
And a spade is a spade is a spade.
Or a duck.

That's funny, I was just thinking about you yesterday. While perusing your bigcartel.

I immediately thought of the model Penelope Tree. See the exceptional image below by a favourite photographer of mine, Richard Avedon:
For actresses, my top-three guesses are Olivia Colman, Samantha Morton and Maggie Gyllenhaal:
Alternatively, depending on the specific features of Pejac's mime that we're focusing on (e.g. the slightly wide-set eyes, sadness of the eyes, prominent cheekbones, or thinnish lips), there are certain resemblances to Shelley Duvall, Uma Thurman, Saoirse Ronan, Greta Gerwig, Clรฉmence Poรฉsie, Toni Collette and Emily Watson.
Sorry for the scattergun approach, which I accept is inelegant.
