There again Banksy praying boy looks very close to Gagnons.

I'd say it's far more likely he accidentally used the same image. If he were going to rip someone off, he's smart enough to use a different image. Most likely, it was one of the first results when they searched and they both liked the same image.

More than likely because the hoodie guy looks just like Banksys hoodie guy.

Probably because they did not want this hoodie guy with cartoon dog image to dilute the impact of Banksys hoodie guy image.

   That the similarities between gagnons and Banksys praying boy was not a problem when banksy made a very similar image to Gagnons.

The difference, as far as I know, is Banksy says he didn't do it intentianally. And even if he did, didn't produce a print of it just the week after the other release, as a way to cash in quickly on someone else's work.

Now, clearly Banksy found the same source image, and didn't just copy Gagnons piece, and change the speech bubble (Banksy's is more detailed).
Whether you believe it was a coincidence is just a matter of speculation.

I agree with what you say.

  Banksy has been having to defend himself to some ever since people said he copied Blek.

It's not easy for a poor artist these days.

 I actually like Banksys paintings and frehand stuff and thats the stuff that would make a great exhibition and push prices up.

I know that the Jboy ? version hoodie and Simpsons dog etc is what it is but how come POW etc ignore WCP ?
