Oh My ! You have just taken this onto the next level. At first i just thought it was a really pretty image and i liked the orange.But now,well, its making me think and see the piece in a completely different light. It is so deep. Maybe even , if i may say, a bit too deep for me. I dont really know anything about Marilyn Munroe or what happened with the white house, but now i will do some reading and learn myself all about it. Thankyou.

Yeah sorry to say JB i have to agree with Spirit there, the flag should be shaped so it wraps around the hopper, it being flat like that looks a bit odd.....

No i do, i do... your quite right. I wanted to show the process though but i think people like to see the final thing and get hung up on detail before the thing is finally cooked onto paper.

I think they way nelly duff do it is spot on, but you don't get to see the idea to print process very often. Its something banksy is good at showing people as it shows how you came to that final image. The US flag is just an idea that was from the sketchbook, however the intention was always to do the orange spacehopper which will be the first print next month. I just liked showing how the message could change by just adding one element. So sorry for the confusion..

It's been nice today to see Doc release his 'Bear' print, very little hype, no bullhit, great image and they've pretty much sold out straight away. On the other side of the coin we've got this tripe over and over and over again. Worlds apart. Roll on the 9th of July

Always find sketch development more interesting than the final thing, or did you just go straight to ps? Cheers

TBH I beginning to stick up for you jboy, but the constant replies and explanations of the work are getting boring.
Why not just post the 6 images, take people opinions and give us more info when its released. It really is just starting to feel like attention seeking now

Nice one, hope you share the skeches... sketching seems to be a dying art in design, especially in my field (interiors) its all just straight to the mac and get it done asap. I love to sketch & see other peoples scribbles... the more unfinished the better

Don't really think that's a valid point since this is the www lest you forget & this is a thread that you chose to open & read. You've got to be pretty sensitive to take offence to someone writing inoffensive words whether you agree or not. Please don't curtail your posts Jboy. I find this quite an interesting read what with everyones opinions etc and am glad it is public.

who is offended ? thats definitely not what I said. BTW this is not the www, its the Banksy forum. I too was interested with peoples opinions at the start, but to have to constantly trawl through this in the last posts is boring. I just prefer artists to make art for themselves, rather than meeting other peoples demand.

Well if you had made art before or people were used to your work, you would not need to ask all these questions. Making art is not all about making money, its about the passion involved plus if you dont believe in your work... who will ?

i think you are missing the point here. The intention is not to make money at all, its to produce some prints of some concepts built up over the years. These would be printed at some point anyway, purely because i would like them up on the wall... but im not up my own ass with the work. By that i mean i dont just go 'there it is' thats the one. take it. Im a designer not an artist and its part of the process to get feedback and opinions and if people want to have the print they feel like they have had some input into, then they have the opportunity to get it. I am not forcing anyone.

By input, i dont mean by design - but by inputting which one gets made into a physical piece.

come on..knock knock. I was not intending to print them all as editions, just for me. The point was to do more of one of the designs so others could enjoy it as well.
