Prints finally being posted out this week. Including all those that won the A/P in the mailing list draw.

We have just got back to the UK from being on a project in the states for the past 2 weeks and have oversold the thinker by a few prints (pending the amount put aside for returns). So a few people may have to wait a bit longer for their prints and we apologize.

Those who ordered before the 11th will be getting them very soon. We hope you enjoy!

No offense to jboy as fair play to him for making these prints. But surely making originals would mean stepping away from the computer and using real materials and natural skill.

So, you cut a stencil ? maybe sling a photo of that up as well... could do you the world of good if the forum could see that real work has gone into these .

Really like that monkey piece JBoy, great stuff.

Would love to see the sprayed version, and the stencils, i always enjoy seeing how people bridge their work.

3 or 4 layers on the stencil, several grey tones were used.

the print has been managed in just 1 colour though as the dots do the hardwork

The original the print comes from is now hanging in a studio in L.A, but have some pics somewhere

the detail is all in the chimps fur, the rest is all done with diffusing and spray

This reads that youve sold out the edition of 30 and are now going to increase the edition size. Surely you cant be considering that??

Stanley, J did mention they were keeping a few back incase of postal accidents etc. i suppose after a few weeks if nobody has returned damaged ones the held back ones will be released? maybe APs?.

Im not on the Jboy hate train & i wasnt being pedantic. Had a feeling that they maybe APs etc but just wanted clarification. Ive ordered this and looking forward to seeing it. Any art chimp related makes me happy. Same as naked women but in a different way.

Hmmm.
I dont think thats true actually.

I know lots of very good stencil artists who hand cut their stencils.

Theres no problems with laser cutting if thats how you want to do things, but i dont think you can say that theres no one hand cutting anymore.

by the way i find it interesting that you cant find time to post a picture of the original of your own piece, but you've found the time to post a picture of banksys stencil. Just my 2c.
