FS was a legend in Manchester when I was there in the late 80's.
I remember him going on the radio to do an interview on budget day, but thought he was being asked to talk about budgies.

I did part of my degree study on 'Oink!'
Even went and interviewed Marc Riley ( ex-Fall, & the Creepers, 6Music dj, Lard etc ) at the Tropic Club in Bristol as he was a cartoonist on it ( Harry the Head I think? ). That was the night I got mugged on the way back from the gig - but that's another story. Think I've still got some copies up in the loft.

Used to get some looks when wearing it can tell you. Think i was 17 at the time... a lifetime ago. Still got it somewhere back at home |
