She is as beautiful today, as she was in 1979.
I knew I was meeting her, so I took my original 79 copy of On My Radio with me, and she kindly signed it, to me and my too lads, who are also massive ska fans.

Guessing you are a Zounds fan too - I have hardly ever found anyone else that has even heard of them!

Saw Zounds fourth on the bill at the Lyceum, sometime in the early 80's. Think they were supporting Anti-Pasti, THe Exploited or bands of this type - which was strange considering their Crass links. Yet they were head and shoulders above many of the Crass bands.
1,2,3 go...I've got an ego..it won't let me go..what am I going to do...ABCD paranoia's killing me etc.

If memory serves, they did a session on Peel, before they were signed. I recorded it - still have the tape - and Never Understand was one of the songs. I had not heard anything like it before - nearest was possibly a punk version of the Velvet Underground. I loved it. Everyone I played it too (with the exception of my then best freind) hated it, which made me love it even more! It really was a new sound.
