This guy is a legend in the US been around since the 70's amasing artist and a pioneer his prints are cool as hell yet signed go for 350.00 USD. Check out his website and the DVD has artists like Shepard Fairey. Cool cat get the DVD very inspirational great bill board work.

Anyone know what price Ron's canvases sell for? Popped into a show of his at the Opera Gallery in NY late last year whilst killing time for a flight and was blown away. Felt too much of an out of towner to start talking prices.

That edition is now sold out. I think he may have another set left if you beg him, but I was told they are now sold out.

As for his canvases, it's not uncommon to see a Ron English canvas in the high 5 to 6 figure range. A small painting may go for as little as $15K though if you can find a really nice price. I was at a show of his in Houston, and he had a piece there that was priced at $280K. This guy is quickly entering another league. His show at Elms will probably be a breakout one for him by all accounts.

One thing that bugs me about Ron though. He doesn't release enough prints! Maybe, if we're lucky, he'll have something released for the London show in May. (hint, hint)

Hey just wanted to pass this along Ron English is working on a 30+ color Screen-Print supposed to release sometime in early May to coenside with his show with Adam Neate at Elms Lesters. The video has some cool footage of him getting up during Santas Ghetto. The printing process looks grueling and for a screen-print the color depth is amazing IMO. Glad to see Ron back into prints this one is certainly more reflective of his talent and about as close to an original as I will ever be able to get. I think its supposed to be priced around $1000.00ish edition of 100.

BTW if you have never seen his DVD POPaganda gotta rent it I think a lot of people don't realize that he was one of the early street art pioneers in the US cool shit.

i think most know my passion for Ron English's works and the Camo Clown Boy is one awesome piece.

Here a few more facts about this piece:
Title: Camo-Clown Boy
Edition Size: 116; 90 regular edition and 10 custom hand-painted. 10 A/P's and 6 P/P's.
Size: 25" x 38"
Details: 320GSM Coventry rag with 2" hand-deckled edge, currently 37 separations, all drawn by hand.

Ron only releases 1 print every few years, so you can imagine the historical value of this piece. His pieces have stood the test of time, and who ever gets one of these will be a lucky person indeed.

The fact that Ron is featuring alongside Adam Neate, is a testiment to his status in the urban/graff world and will be probably be one of the shows of the year.

If the above didnt float your boat, then this should, each print will have it's own process DVD, which includes HighDefinition film footage of the creation of the print, as well as specific images of each individual separation, and interviews with the artist's, some street footage, etc...
