just wondering if you think the toy looks cheap because of the packaging? I am comparing one to one I bought from Kidrobot and they are about the same other than one comes in a box and the other doesnt. I only own 3-4 toys though. maybe i am missing something on the quality? i'd like to know if i am. thanks.

Well he has made other toys and bagged them with a header card. I don't think that's why it looks cheap. The sculpt just looks like it's much more cartoony in person than in the pictures on websites. It's lost almost all of it's sinister looks and seems to be watered down. The lines aren't as bold and therefore looks cheap to me.

I believe it's a canvas/paper combo affair. First time I've seen this done and I like the look of Ross' images of it. Nice pick up Ross. A touch garish for me, but the finished effect of this paper-backed canvas (if I'm right in thinking that's what it is) looks great. You happy with the print? I have some other giclees on canvas and have been very please when seeing them in the flesh - they looked very much like paintings, how's this one shaping up in your opinion?

it's a giclee print on paper backed canvas measuring 15" x 15", signed & numbered x/30

it's my first ron english & my first print on this type of stock too

it adds a lot more depth compared to regular paper

Just got my Grin today! I think it looks super cool! ;D Been a vinyl toy collector for awhile and Grin is far off most unique piece I have ever own. Don't think it looks cheap at all and the paint job is far beyond amazing. Super clean without any color bleed along the edges. Package style similar to the old vintage toys which also reflex to the history of the character. You think the prints are still available? Awesome canvas texture.....never seen that type of material on prints before.

Loving mine. If I'd known it would be a print like this (I imagined a box canvas!) I might have got the larger one though.
Toy looks a little cheap, but I think that's the packaging. I'd have liked it in a box so I could display it. But it's signed which is nice!

It says edition of 30, but I thought it was 15 of each size? So, have the included both sizes as one edition?

Hi everyone, I know a lot of people were disappointed with the Ron English release
(myself included)...... so I decided to contact them regarding returning the items as they were not really of the standard that the pictures on there site lead to believe.
They contacted me today saying they don't do any refunds what so ever....
I just thought I better warn people incase anyone from the forum intended to buy from them in future

Usual practice for galleries isn't it? POW usually to have a no refunds policy I think!? (although maybe they're slightly flexible if there's something very wrong.)

I like my Ron English print. Not on a par with the Camo Boy screen print I've seen, but rare and a classic image! IMO!!

I just thought the site images were misleading, both pieces were made to look better than they are...
I just thought id contact the gallery instead of just whacking it on the bay,

Just got the canvas framed in an IKEA... quite a grower.

At first, fresh out of tube, this print looked quite pale, but now, under glass and with the light hitting it right, the details pop quite nicely.

So it gets my thumbs up!

Now thinking of doing the framing properly.... Damm this *&@# ECONOMY!
